This being the internet, you gotta show your love and link those who link you, so I’ve added a few new sites to the Link section of the blog.

The first is Minger’s new blog Seduction Digest.  Minger is the head of the DC lair and also wrote that great article about the Rolling Stones/New York Times articles that I reposted under my entry ”Out of the Closet and Into the Fire.”  If that’s any indication of what we’ll be seeing on his blog, I think there will be some good stuff.  The DC list is also incredibly active, so there might be a lot of spill over to this blog for those who aren’t on the e-mail list.

The second is a blog called Sir Italian’s Seduction Blog.  This is a new blog I discovered through Minger’s site from a European PUA which is pretty good.  He already linked me to his site, so I figured I’d return the favor.  He’s also got a lot of cool sex themed hedonistic links I’ll be checking out as time goes by.

I’ve also linked SteviePUA’s Journal.  I know SteviePUA from Mystery’s Lounge but others may recognize him from mASF.  I’ve spoken to Stevie on the phone briefly before he left for Spain (lucky fuck) and he’s a cool guy.  His online journal is more of a blow-by-blow of his daily life, but basically serves the same function for him this blog serves for me.  Stevie is a good PUA, so you could probably learn a lot from his journal.  Now if he’ll only return the favor and link me (hint, hint

Well, it seems Harmless has gotten his in-field seduction workshop off the ground with the launch of his new website http://dating.reenhanced.com.  I talked to Harmless tonight and he seems to be getting in peak PUA condition to get ready to teach horny men how to pick-up in clubs and bars.  He told me about how he got 3 solid number closes tonight experimenting with some new approaches.  Seems like he’s doing some exciting stuff.  I’ve still yet to see him in the field with my own eyes, but I get the feeling he’s legit.  Right now it looks like he could be the next Tyler Durden if he plays his cards right.

The website is pretty basic.  I don’t much care for the layout, but the information on it seems decent enough.  He also used an exerpt from my "Top 10 PUAs" post for his bio, so I guess that’s a little flattering, but  I told him I’d write a better testimonial for his site.

Depending on my finances I hope to attend one of Harmless’s workshops in the future.  He told me he’d fly me out and let me attend for free if I wanted to come, so that’s pretty exciting.  When/if I do this, I’ll be sure to post a workshop review on this site.  If any of you want to beat me to the punch, it looks like they have some workshops lined up for Boston and D.C. in the coming months.

Reason for the Lack of Updates

Okay, I usually try and update this blog reguarly — as in once a day if I can. I haven’t really had much to say lately, and my focus has been more on my finances than seduction really. I guess it won’t hurt to say this now, since it will explain my current lack of content on this site, but I’ll be writing a series of articles for fashionforfatguys.com when the site relaunches as an online publication instead of a site dedicated solely to selling its ebook.

This is a pretty exciting time for me right now. I seem to have a lot of stuff on my plate. I keep getting told by people that I’m reaching a “celebrity” status in this small little online community of seducers. How that happened, I’ll never know, because the fact is there are lots more guys out there better at this than I am. Some people point to the blog as the reason, but I find it funny that an online journal meant to keep me focused and maybe help other guys experiencing similar problems is garnering such attention. So much so that I’m even getting the attention of the “gurus,” which I find a little off-setting.

Anyway, you’ll be able to find everything about that and more right here. I plan to try and keep this blog going until I reach my goals, and that realistically probably wont happen for a while now. I would also like to say I appreciate everyone who posts replies on my site. This is as much a learning tool for me as anyone, and feedback is always needed for progress to happen. So keep those thoughts coming guys. I plan on refreshing the site once a week, so if you put up a reply, it’ll be up for viewing for a while.

Look Out Don Juan, Here Comes **Mystery**!

For those of you who don’t know who Mystery is, he’s a Pick-Up artist from Canada who’s been around since the early days of ASF. Most of the techniques on fast-seduction.com have been pioneered by him, and he’s developed a LOT of Pick-Up theory as well as utilizing group dynamics in his pick-ups. To my knowledge, he is also the first ever Pick-Up Artist to do live, in-field workshops designed to train other men to approach women in bars and clubs.

I met Mystery last year at one of his workshops in LA, where his co-instructor Style (the most powerful of the Jedi) broke me of my fear of approaching. I’ve gotten to know Mystery a little bit since then and consider him to be one of the real deals of the seduction community.

Recently, Mystery has teamed up with Tyler Durden and Papa to “streamline” his seduction training business. With the advent of Project Hollywood (a lifestyle experiment that has Mystery, Style, Papa, and Herbal living in a large house of the Sunset Strip), Mystery is going to be passing the in-field training torch to Tyler Durden and focusing his energy on teaching seminars.

However, this is not the only thing Mystery has been up to. I’ve known for some time now that he is throwing his hat into the ring with the likes of David D’Angelo and Swinggcat and writing a book about his Seduction and Pick-Up theory. Not only that, but I have it on good authority that the book is now finished, or nearly finished, and will be marketed through Papa’s website — Real Social Dynamics.

I’ll be interested to read the book, because I’ve studied Mystery Method for a while now. I’m told that Mystery has simplified his method down from the most recent 27 Step Method to a 3 Step Method. My gut says that it may simply be “Meet, Attract, & Close” but that might be too basic for Mystery, who’s known to constantly advance and refine his material (sometimes to the point of incomprehencibility *coughM3cough*).

So though he may be “dumbing down” his approach for the masses, I don’t think that’ll affect his work much. Mystery’s real talent lies in his structural models of seduction, which I’ve gotten to see scrawled on various cocktail napkins. Hopefully he’s included some of them in the book.

As soon as I get my greedy little hands on a copy, I’ll be sure to post a review here, though I’m still working on reviews for both Real World Seduction and Double Your Dating. That, coupled with all my other writings, is keeping me quite bogged down at the moment.

In the meantime, I’ll just continue to pass on what I hear.

No Updates for New Years

Hopefully you guys will be getting crazy this New Years Eve and having some great adventures. I know my buddy Adam (the Natural) started early and has already doubled up with 2 Las Vegas Strippers! (GO ADAM!) So you guys have a lot to live up to, lol.

Anyway, I’ll be with family yet again for the holliday, so I won’t be updating on New Years Eve or New Years Day, unless something really interesting happens in that time, which I doubt since family seems to destroy any luck I have with women at all.

Kicked and Banned — Follow Up

A quick follow-up to being kicked and banned from the SS List…

I can’t help but feel Ross inadvertantly did me a HUGE favor. Its funny, because I opened up my mailbox today, and it was like heaven not having to weed through all those SS posts! I was amazed at how much more fun e-mail had become! Isn’t that wierd? I was a bit worried because the SS list has been a staple in my mailbox for almost 7 years now, so I was concerned I’d miss it, but surprizingly I don’t!

In fact, I almost feel energized because I’d often post advice to that list that was either ignored or got me flamed by some people on there. I can’t tell you how frustrating it was when I posted valid advice that went counter to everyone else’s, and then when the guy I was trying to help followed everyone else’s advice, he ended up worse off than he was before. It was too emotionally draining for me to see that happen time and time again, and in a way, its a good thing its no longer part of my life.

I can only hope that either someone else comes in as a voice of reason on that list, or Ross starts taking a more active role in it to set everyone straight. His posts that usually consists of only one sentence or less aren’t of much use to anyone. In fact, I know a while back he got on people’s cases for being too harsh with their critisizms of other people, which in a way kept that list quite honest as opposed to pandering to the lowest common denomenator like it is now.

I’ve also been approached by Double Your Dating to do a review of their eBook, which I plan on doing sometime in January. I’ll probably do reviews of all the major seduction products as well, including SS, which will be as honest as I can make it now that I don’t have to worry about pissing Ross off anymore. Before I was trying not to do anything to overtly criticize Ross’s products because I really didn’t want his business to be affected (even though I honestly doubt the 3 people reading this website would affect anything of Ross’s, lol), but now that Ross has told be where I can shove it, I guess I don’t have to censor my opinions anymore. Though I will say that I’ll probably be looking at SS as an over-all system rather than at individual products, so there will be plenty of good to go with the bad, just as there are in all the products out there.

I’d also like to thank everyone who sent me e-mails of condolances and congratulations for getting Kicked and Banned from the SS List. It’s nice to know that at least privately, there is a substantial number of people who agree with my views, so I can be sure I’m not some raving loon. =)

Well, I suppose the inevitable has finally happened. I’ve been Kicked and Banned from the Speed Seduction e-mail list.

Apparently, Ross found my blog and didn’t like what I had to say about his list or my take on affirmations, so he gave me 24 hours to unsubscribe. However, I was at my grandparent’s all weekend and didn’t get the message untill today, so I also found a very terse e-mail from Ross informing me that I’ve not only been kicked from his list, but banned as well.

I have mixed feelings about this. I’ve been a member of that list since 1998 when I first bought my BHSC, and it HAS helped me in the past. Its pretty much been a constant force in my life since then. But at the same time, it seems like a logical step to cut myself off from it because I have not learned anything useful from the list going on 2 years now. In fact, most of the advice I gave on the list was largely ignored because it really didn’t jive with much of Ross’s teachings, so I guess this was just inevitable. Kind of like a father cutting off his son from any family aide, even though the son has a good paying job already.

I think the thing that bothers me the most was the tone or Ross’s e-mails. I can’t help but feel bad because I do respect the guy and he feels like I stabbed him in the back by posting all my thoughts in a public capacity. In a way, since I’m from an SS background, I’m more critical of it as a system than anything else out there because its something so close to my heart. I mean, anyone who read’s my “It Begins” post knows that SS saved my fuckin’ life in college. And having hung out with Ross before, I know he’s not a bad guy at all. In fact, I really like the dude. So the fact that he’s pissed with me is a bit disappointing, since I was just stating opinions about his products and nothing about him or my personal experiences with the guy. Hell, I even mention him in my Top 10 PUAs post, but I guess he only wanted to read the bad stuff.

In a wierd way, many friends have told me that its almost a “Right of Passage” to piss Ross off, seeing as how many of the top guys in the field have done so and gone on to great success, even though I have no interest in becoming a seduction “guru.” So I guess I should be glad it happened, but I’m really not. I’d much rather Ross had contacted me saying “I disagree with what you’re saying, so keep it off my list. But if its working for you, more power to ya.”

And if in his shoes, I guess I can see where he’s coming from. I guess I was pretty harsh about the list and his Unstoppable Confidence tapes. I am critical of SS as a “complete system” of seduction. But do I still use SS? Oh yes, most definitely. Patterns are very powerful, and NLP does work, just not to the extent that Ross makes it out to (at least, that’s how I see it). I’m starting to believe that much of this is behavior based rather than a logical throught process, where most of your interactions need to spring from your behavior and actions rather than what you say. And I’ll continue to be critical of SS as long as I see flaws in it, just as I’ll continue to be critical of DYD, MM, RSD, Swinggcat Method, GWM, and any other system that comes along. SS just happened to be the first casualty because I have such an intimate knowledge of it (and some of the dude’s on the list make it too easy of a target).

In a way, I’m also flattered that my little blog has garnered enough attention to incur the wrath of one of this community’s formost guru’s. I guess it means people are reading this. I’m just sorry it had to go down the way it did.

But life goes on, and I’m sure I’ll get along without the SS list or Ross’s approval, since I never really feel like I had it to begin with. In fact, I’m sure I’ll probably piss off lots of people with my rants and ramblings. But if they even help 1 fat, lazy, nerd out there, then my mission is complete. =)

Austin Summit Cancelled!!! Sort-of.

Okay, for a while now there have been plans to have a big ASF summit in Austin, TX scheduled for April of this year. I was looking forward to it because personally, I love Austin. But it seems that the even has been rescheduled to a more convienient venue, that of Los Angeles.

Yes, Herbal — the primary instigator of this event — is going to be moving in with Papa, Style, and Mystery to take part of Project Hollywood in LA. Therefore, he and Papa have decided its more convienient to hold the summit out on the west coast.

Well, I can’t blame these guys for being a bit perturbed about this. However, in this situation, I think the change is for the better.

First of all, its advanced enough to let those who did get tickets WAY WAY early to change their flights and adjust their plans.

Secondly, as far as women go, the quality in LA is just as good as those in Austin.

Third, they will get to use the Project Hollywood Mansion as a venue. This is cool because it will be free to use, and its right off the Sunset Strip, so after the event you can walk a block away and practice on some of the hottest women in the US.

Fourth, some of the best seducers in the world reside in LA, and a lot of them will now be able to attend because they don’t have to buy plane tickets.

This goes on and on. Personally, I’m excited that I don’t have to spend the money to travel to this sucker. Trust me, there are worst places to hold it than LA! =)

Slumming it on the East Coast

Okay, I’m leaving for Washington D.C. today. My flight will be leaving sometime in the mid-afternoon, so with the 3 hour time difference, I won’t get in until late. I’ll be there for two weeks, but will keep updating the blog in the meantime.

I’m looking forward to this because while I’m home I will have 0 responsibility. No money worries, no work, no nothing. So I look forward to sleeping in and maybe finally getting around to doing some field work, since my health/finances in the past two months have kept me from getting out too often.

My Dinner With TheOne

Okay, so one of the perks of living in Los Angeles is that I get to hang out with some of the best of the best of the best that the seduction community has to offer. Los Angeles seems to be the Mecca for Pick-Up Artists, probably because of the constant influx of fresh-off-the-bus poon, mixed with the hippest night scene in the U.S. (shut up New York), and a healthy dose of celebrity elitism, and you got yourself a virtual PUA playground.

One of the PUAs out here is TheOne, who used to be called Maverick, but I guess he decided a name that started with “The” was more memorable. Anyway, some of you may recognize TheOne as a fairly regular instructor at the Real Social Dynamic’s workshop. (Perhaps he changed his name because of all the gay TOP GUN jokes hurled at him by being Tyler’s wing? Who knows.) Regardless, TheOne was one of the first instructors I ever had. It was him and Tyler who took my out my first night in the LA Mystery Method Workshop about 5 months ago (Has it been that long? Dunno. Gotta lay off the drugs).

As far as Game goes, TheOne is far from the best there is, but he’s a pretty solid dude who does get laid (though looking like Sylvester Stallone from “Cobra” doesn’t hurt, I’m sure). So I like the guy enough to agree to have dinner with him when he calls me up a few days ago.

TheOne picks me up from work, and this is the first time I get to see him in his non-peacocking gear, which usually consists of black PVC pants and a form fitting black shirt, along with the occasional leather arm band. Instead, he’s just in sweatpants and a muscle shirt, having just come from the gym (whether he was trying to impress me or not, who knows? =)

So we go to this Hawaiian BBQ place I know of and sit down for a nice dinner. It’s cool hanging out with TheOne because unlike hanging out with someone like Mystery, I do not feel a pressure to sarge. There’s nothing worse than trying to relax and enjoy a meal with the feeling that you should be gaming the waitresses and any female patron in sight, which is often an unfortunate side-effect of hanging with a juggernaught of PUA such as Mystery.

Anyway, we talk about a lot of things. Community gossip, sticking points in our game, financial troubles, work woes, and JFK assassination theories. In a way, it was a real eye opening experience for me because it had been a while since I’d hung out with someone from the community in a strictly “non-sarge” capacity. It was just two dudes chilling in a restaurant enjoying some good food.

The thought struck me how funny it is that at the end of the day, we’re all just a bunch of regular guys. On the internet, it’s so easy to attain “celebrity” or “guru” status just as long as you post prolifically and are able to spell above a kindergarten level. In fact, there are a lot of guys out there who claim to be “seducers” or “pick-up artists”who never fucking leave their computer.

My dinner with TheOne made me realize just how many guys I’ve hung out with from the community. Not only that, but hung out with them enough to see the internet persona go by the wayside and get a sense of the real people underneath. And the truth is, once you get down to it, someone like Mystery, Style, Tyler Durden, Papa, TheOne, Swinggcat, and anyone else out there you read about (I’m including me in this) is pretty much just like every other guy out there.

This includes you, dear reader.

In fact, I get a lot of emails from guys saying how amazing I am and asking when/if I’ll ever do another workshop. I find it odd how that works, because by any stretch of the imagination, I am NOT as good as some of these other guys when it comes to PUA, though I am better than others. But to many of us in the community, PUA is a very small part of our lives. Indeed, I have many other aspects of my life that I pursue, but PUA is a small (albeit important) part of my overall existence.

My point here is this: Whether you are an AFC, RAFC, BAFC, or any other ridiculous acronym, chances are you are on par with most of the guys you read about.

What does this mean?

Simple. If you guys are no different than us, then that means that you can easily be doing what we’re doing, which is going out and learning to pick-up girls.

Obviously, this is easier said than done. Lots of guys are still suffering in this area, and in a way, that’s where people like TheOne and I stand out. We have been able to overcome our fears and insecurities to the point where we are able to engage this area of our life with vigor and persistence most men can only dream of.

So in the coming days, weeks, months, or however long it takes, I’m going to be posting some stuff on how to help your inner game and how to start off approaching women. I’ll give some examples, some theory, and maybe even a few homework assignments for you truly committed out there. Hopefully I’ll even receive a few success stories to post up on the Lair.

In short, if I can do it, and TheOne can do it, you certainly can too.

Then you can open your own workshop and give Tyler a run for his money. =)

Rave Reviews on ASF

Okay, so back at the DYD seminar in Chicago, I was tapped to be a guest instructor at the Papa/TD/Orion workshop. It was the first time I had ever really gone out instructing people in a “professional” capacity. I mean, I’ve been out bootcamping some local guys on Sunset here in LA, but this was a workshop people were paying for, so I felt a certain pressure to do my best with helping the students to learn.

Anyway, I was referred to a review of the workshop one of the student’s put up on ASF. The review is pretty good and fairly accurate from what I remember, even if the guy’s observations about the instructors are a bit off.

Anyway, here’s what he writes about me:

“I meet up with Thundercat. Very cool dude. He says “Go approach that set. Say ‘female opinion: who lies more, men or women?’, then come back.” I do just that, chat the 3-set up for a few minutes more, then return to him for more assignments. He says “Go tell that girl on the dancefloor ‘Settle down! you’re going to make the other girls jealous!’” I do. Girl responds very well. Then she gives me a salute and yes “Yes, Sir!” She’s smiling big and into it. I go back for more assignments. Thundercat says go open 3 more sets with the opinion opener. I open two more sets. One girl avoided me, as she was ordering a drink. I return, tell Thundercat what happened. He asks how I feel. I said I hate being blown out, but that I feel fine and it’s not going to prevent me from approaching more.” No big deal he says. If it doesn’t work well, just say “nice meeting you” to leave the door open for future sarges with her.

I really wish we had time to give a background of ourselves at the lecture, but there wasn’t time in the mini-workshop. I think all the instructors think all the students are AFCs. I wish I had told Thundercat about my experience, as I was hanging in sets well, but I figured, Hell, I’m here to learn what these guys have to teach, so I want to use their openers, their techniques. I was hoping for more advanced assignments from him like “go get a kiss from that girl within 5 minutes!” That would have been cool, but he was off working with other students by then.”

LOL. Go kiss a girl in 5 minutes! Most of these guys can’t even TALK to women, let alone kiss them. But this dude definitely stood out as someone who was comfortable in a club scene. I do remember him being a bit more upset about getting blown out than he made it out to be. He came up stuttering and looking a bit flustered, so I pulled him to the side and calmed him down. I find it a fascinating read because it came from a truly neutral source. This was a dude who didn’t know any of us, least of all me, yet he gave me good reviews on my teaching style. I guess there’s a twinge of pride there, knowing I help someone out. Though Chicago for me sucked. One thing that became painfully obvious was that if I’m teaching other guys how to pick-up, I can’t do any pick-ups myself. It was terrible, and its for that reason why I will probably never teach at an actual in-field workshop again. It was a good experience, I’m glad I did it, but its too much work not to get paid for.

I know Harmless has talked about bringing me in as a guest speaker/instructor when he starts his workshops, but I’m on the fence about doing it right now. We’ll have to wait and see I suppose. It depends on how my finances are doing at the time.

Little Big Dick Officially Loses His Mind!

Well, now that they’ve found Saddam and the violence is almost over, that bow-legged coward Little Big Dick has decided to go work as a SECURITY FORCE in IRAQ!!!! WTF? I thought the guy actually had brains, but this just goes to show how fucking psycho this pussy is. Not content to get his ass kicked by drunken AMOGs in the frozen tundra of Alaska, he’s actually decided to go somewhere where the official cockblock tactic is to KILL YOU.

Well, at least we expect him to come back with a tan, various forms of the clap, and at least fifty camels.

On a serious note, I know that LBD is psyched about this assignment, and I am very happy for him. I hope he stays safe out in Iraq and has a blast out there in the cradle of civilization. At the very least, he’ll be able to write a book on either how to lay middle eastern women or how to become an oil barron. (I expect royalties). I salute all the brave men and women out there who put their lives on the line for a safe and free Iraq. Congrats, LBD, you are not a pussy like me!
