For all of you out there who missed it, here’s Mystery on the Conan O’Brien show. Overall, I think Mystery did pretty well.
I wonder how many people watching Conan are going to know how to spell "Venusian" though?

Marriage Vs. Monogomy: Cheating Spouses
April 11, 2007 by Thundercat

I found a fascinating op/ed piece over on the New York Times website that talks about the different culture of "cheating spouses" from around the world. Check out what they had to say about Americans…
Americans cherish monogamy, but they value honesty even more. In
the 1970s and 1980s, as it became easier to divorce and couples
counseling emerged as the forum for resolving marital spats, Americans
decided marriage ought to be a transparent zone without any secrets.
They developed a unique mantra about affairs: It’s not the sex, it’s
the lying. One popular American remedy for cheating is now
extreme truth-telling. Couples and their therapists can spend dozens of
hours and thousands of dollars retracing every sordid detail of the
affair, complete with times and dates. (Note to unfaithful Americans:
save your motel receipts to make this easier).Even after a
private confession, the moral stain often sticks. America’s founders
thought that the character of their new state hinged on the values and
even the private behavior of voters, so they stressed monogamous
marriage and warned that anything else threatened the state. The United
States is the only country I found where high-profile people who had
strayed are thought to be capable of any manner of corruption and
lying, and apologize to their employees or constituents for their
private behavior.American confessions baffle the French. Many
of them could die comfortably with their marital secrets. Though they
prefer monogamy, when the French do cheat they typically aren’t saddled
with guilt. Couples give each other privacy so that they don’t trip
over unwanted information.
Apparently the rest of the world is a lot more "liberal" when it comes to extra-marital affairs. Maybe the argument that true monogomy is just a myth has some bearing?

Mystery On Conan O’Brien Tonight!

Set your TiVos people, because everyone’s favorite Pick Up Artist, Mystery, is going to be on Late Night With Conan O’Brien tonight!
I hear he’ll be on there plugging his new reality show for VH1. Apparently he’s done 8 episodes and its set to premiere on the network soon.
I’ll be interested to see how Conana treats him. He’ll be appearing third on the show along with Tina Fey and Kevin Pollack.
How funny would it be for him to demonstrate on Tina Fey? lol.
Conan is on NBC after the Tonight Show With Jay Lenno. Check your local listings.

Opening Girls Who Are On The Phone

Zardoz over on mASF had a question about how to open girls who were on their cell phone…
Zardoz writes:
As I see it, there are two situations in which cells hinder a sarge,
1: You can’t make an approach because the target is on the phone.
2: You have intitiated the seduction, then her phone rings and she opens it up and starts yacking.
Well?
Some dude named Cinder had a pretty nice reply…
Cinder writes:
Oh yeah, I wouldn’t suggest to walk off. The set is definitely still good. Hell, every set is always still good, let alone these instances.
Opening a girl who is on the cell phone is NOT A BIG DEAL AT ALL.
Anyone can do it with success. I vividly remember multiple times *early
in my pua
career where I’d open a girl, and she would just stop and say on the
phone "let me call you back" and quickly hang up on the person. I think
the trick is, just after you get her attracted
or pass the hook point, ask her "are you talking to someone or
something?". I’ve opened plenty of girls on cell phones before. It’s no
different. It’s seriously all there for looks… like she THINKS this
will stop guys from talking to her. In all reality, she probably is
holding it up because SHE’LL ACTUALLY STOP AND TALK IF SOMEONE TRIES TO
OPEN HER.. haha, and this is her defense.
I think that’s a pretty good strategy over-all. Don’t let phones intimidate you. The girl can always call the person they’re talking to back. =)
Dance Floor Game
April 10, 2007 by Thundercat

If you’re a club-goer, you’ll know that having "dance floor game" is pretty essential to picking up chicks. After all, in a club where the music is thumping so loud you can’t hear anything else, knowing how to dance is freakin’ essential.
Some guy who goes by the nick Bandit, who by his own admission was a "semi-professional" dancer, made a little video on dance floor game for you to check out.
Now, if you’re a big lump like me, you don’t need to to bust moves like Bandit. I find that just getting on the dance floor and having the balls to shake your thang with any random girl will usually be enough to get your game on. But Bandit gives some good moves in his video, so if you want to practice that, you should be in good shape.
Of course, you could try killing two birds with one stone and taking a dance CLASS, so not only do you learn how to dance, but you’re able to meet some women in the process. =)
Project Hollywood Part 2 – The Return?
April 10, 2007 by Thundercat

I heard a very interesting rumor the other day. I don’t know if its true or not, but it is definitely within the realm of possibility.
It appears as though Mystery might be looking to make another go at creating a Project Hollywood – but here’s the twist – it will be in the SAME mansion as the original Project Hollywood!
As you all know, this is the Project Hollywood house that was in the book The Game, off of Londenberry Place in West Hollywood. The entire "PUA Project" concept has been alive and well since the destruction of the first Project Hollywood, with Project San Francisco and Project Miami proving that yes – a house full of pick up artists CAN work, as long as no one from RSD is there.
Basically, the notion of creating a "PUA Lifestyle" based around an entire venue is the ultimate in Game. If you’ve got the pimp house, its easy to be a pimp. If Mystery is in fact coming back to H-Wood to make another go at it, I’ll be looking forward to his triumphant return.
Pick Up Women In Bars (The Basics)
April 10, 2007 by Thundercat
Sonics over at mASF has a pretty good post up about the fundamentals of picking up women in bars. Check it out:
Sonics writes:
The real trick to bars (at least in my opinion) is to be as high-energy as possible. People go to bars to have fun and unwind. Typically, you have lots of loud music too, so if you are abile to keep up with the general pulse of the venue, you will usually do pretty well. If you’re just not a high energy guy, or you’re having a bad night, maybe the bar scene just isn’t for you.

Art Of The Pickup is the first offering from those crazy kooks over at fastseduction.com. It’s a 2 DVD video set with over six hours worth of information culled from fastseduction.com’s vast repository of pick-up knowledge, all compiled into an easy to reference format.
The thing that makes the Art Of The Pickup stand out from other similar DVD sets is that it’s designed more like an interactive course on how to meet women than a simple recorded lecture, like you might get with other DVD courses.
This format works very well in an instructional sense, because it breaks down the different phases of pickup in an easy to follow way, and allows for quick reference of the different tactics available.
