RSD Exposed: Part I

Okay…
So a lot of you who frequent the blog know that I’ve been ragging on RSD for a while now. And while my intention isn’t to "be negative," certain people seem to think that I just enjoy bullying TD and his crew just for the fun of it. Well, that isn’t true. I want to expose to everyone else what I know to be true about these guys. But before, I’ve only been able to go off of what I, personally, knew about the type of people they are and how they operate.
But now, I have proof.
RSD has a secret message board where their instructors share tactics on how to manipulate students and take down their enemies. Recently, I was contacted by an insider who was able to go on this message board, and send me posts from it.
These are real posts from the real RSD instructors. I have five of them, all of which exposes them for who they truly are: Manipulative, greedy little boys who care more about money than they do about really helping other people.
Some of the things they talk about are:
- Manipulating students into giving them good reviews.
- Brainwashing students to think they improved more than they did.
- Badmouthing of who they consider to be bad/difficult students
- Their plot to retaliate against Neil Strauss for his depiction of them in The Game
This isn’t me saying this stuff. This comes right from the horses mouth. These are actual writings from actual RSD members, Papa and Tyler included.
My source says this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Over the course of the next week, I’m going to make these posts available for download. The first post I want to shed light on is one where the RSD instructors discuss their tactics on getting good reviews, against the students getting real results.
It seems that RSD places more importance on getting their students to write them good reviews as opposed to getting them actual, long lasting results. In this post, Tyler goes to great lengths to discuss his strategies for "long term" brainwashing so once the workshop high wears off, students won’t come back and badmouth the RSD training process.
Seriously, this stuff has to be seen to be believed.

I thought the PDF would speak for itself, but I guess I’ll have to commentate on it a bit.
This whole post is a result of RSD pushing its instructors to get its students to write good reviews as opposed to helping them out. That’s what Loverboy’s post is initially about. He wants to focus more on helping the students than pushing them for writing good reviews.
Papa tells him that, among other things, they use these reviews to help keep students from asking for refunds after the workshop high wares off. Essentially, it’s “proof” they use to justify keeping hte money of an unhappy student.
When it comes to Tylers stuff, read it carefully. Sure, it might look like he talks about delivering value to the students, but look at what he REALLY says.
RSD has a technique they call “State pumping” (I’ll release the post on this tommorrow). It’s about how to jazz up every student – regardless of their improvement or lack thereof – to give them good reviews they can use in their marketing.
Tyler talks about his long-term strategy to prevent bad reviews. These “pre-buttal” tactics of his. He sets frames to convince others of what they’ve learned, and how what they learn will affect them in the future (a little time distortion thing. Very clever).
He also brainwashes the students against any bad reviews or claims made by other companies, to bypass their critical factor.
If you look at the passages in boldface and redface, you can see the really shady stuff Tyler does.
“Whenever I give them superficial information, I tell them I know some things but I won’t tell them because I don’t want them to get distracted by it, and if they beg me for it then I give it to them so later they can’t say I wasn’t focused on core things…”
“I talk about other people’s perspectives but never their name… just their philosophies in general… i don’t even say the actual name of the philosophy like DIRECT and I never actually acknowledge that the term DIRECT is even REAL… if a student says DIRECT I reply with “What’s direct? A compliment?”
“I avoid most community jargon altogther and NEVEr state the name of another company… if I’m asked about another company, I say “Umm, they’re alright… anyway blah blah blah,” and change the topic.”
If you notice the above: THEY ARE ALL REFRAMES!
Reframes from giving the students anything he doesn’t want them to know.
My point in these posts is not that what RSD teaches is fake, and people can’t learn or improve from them.
What I AM saying is that RSD likes to break down the manipulation of their students to a SCIENCE, so they can avoid “bad reviews” like the plague. They train their instructors how to pump up their students, and get the most from them (and if they can’t help them improve, brainwash them into thinking they’ve improved).
All you ahve to do is look closely at how Tyler refers to Badboy and others in the community to see this unhealthy “Us vs. Them” mentality they have.
You’ll see more about this later on in the week.

I will close by saying I have never been to an RSD workshp and can tell you that if I ever did attend someones workshop, I doubt RSD even makes the list of those whose workshops I would attend.

Guys read between the lines. Tyler has talent in writing posts. We know this. Some of his posts have been acclaimed as the bests posts ever to come out of mASF. And most people get sucked in, without asking themselves what is Tyler really saying here?

The funnel analogy sounds good eh? The context behind that paragraph was “this is how I manipulate students into thinking I am a good instructor. you guys should do this as well.”
Notice how his posts say nothing about actual skill, teaching of skill, or demonstration of skill. It’s all about how to influence the clients into thinking they are good.
They take an us versus them mentality at the end. I can’t believe you guys missed the part where “RSD is the girls, and everyone else is the lame guys trying to pick them up.”
Come on guys. This is pure proof RSD is a bogus scam company. They are supposed to be a company that teaches guys how to be good with women. In reality they are a company that tricks guys into thinking they were taught how to be good with women.
TC you should post your clarifcation on your front page incase nobody sees your post.
I think that this post just shows that the rSD guys Are improving their program and are focused on getting better results on bootcamp. I’ve heard from several people that these guys offer a high program quality. These guys believe they are better than Mystery and Babboy. I’m not sure if is true cuz I haven’t taken their programs. But these guys have great conetent and I would take their Program and Davd D’s if I had enough extra funds.

TD’s posts are among the best out there. Look at the title of Style’s book for the words “SECRET SOCIETY” if you want a starting point.
Most of what he writes is about how to get good results that aren’t temporary. I don’t see the big problem with that. There’s no scheming against anyone, and I didn’t see any real insults of Neil, but more like an acknowledgement of the influence his book had.
Tyler’s tone was more that of someone who was addressing why he got bad reviews and how to give a better product to stop that than how to manipulate good reviews from the same bad product.
I am not one to kick a guy in the balls when it is not merrited. I read this stuff and nothing struck me as any kind of scam. I got the feeling these guys are learning a few good moves..lets face it, everyone is NOT cut out to be a pick up artist and there are some guys who just can NOT be helped. Sorry to bust your bubble. However, every pick up artist out there is light years behind Elvis Preston King. I was a pick up artist when these guys were in diapers!
To take a workshop focused on getting laid is where it is at. My students actually get laid usually with one or more new girlfriends per day. I also give one on one training. I want to make sure that if a guy has potential that I make a pick up artist out of him. I also work on a curve scale of what a student can afford. No ONE, I mean no one can touch me.
I demonstrate the art of the pick up in the field. I approach scores of women per day.

So far every one except Cliff has came back for ADVANCED TRAINING. Cliff from Cliff’s List is a pick up artist in his own right. He knows all the top pick up artists in the world. He named Elvis Preston King, the world’s greatest pick up artist.
How much better am I, the KING than these other guys. It is like taking a corresondence course from a kindergartner or getting a PHD. My workshop is like night and day in my training program compared to others. Most workkshops are re-hashed Mystery stuff. It is time to learn some NEW moves. I believe that Mystery, Badboy, and RSD have value BUT would you rather learn from a guy who just is a great instructor who just got his white belt in Karate or would you rather learn from the world’s First Grand Master of Seduction with a 10th Degree Blackbelt who has practiced all his life. You can’t just teach a guy to be an instructor after a crash course.

Someone point out the flaw in my logic, but that seems like a pretty hypocritical complaint to me.
I hate to be the bearer of “the way the world works” speech, but pre-buttals, post-close buyer’s remorse prep — these things have been around in business far longer than the ‘community’ ever existed. This is how salesmen work, and yes, there is a connection. Many of the techniques for assumptive closes, dealing with LMR, buyer’s remorse, these are all direct analogies from business and sales.
I agree with the other posters, these posts are not damning. If anything, they simply point out slightly unethical business practices. A better practice would anonymous instructor reviews each day and a solicited course review after the high is over. One positive post-high unsolicited endorsement is worth fifty positive reviews with the taint of manipulation and coercion hanging over them.

As someone who’s taught professionally, yes you will run into fuck-ups and retards and yes, you will discuss it and laugh about it with other teachers.

In my view, if a course, company, instructor etc doesn’t have a tool for that component, they are just a dating coach or stupid magazine article, they or their materials are certainly not an aspiring pick up artists option by any means.
If they are then lied to and told they need to approach more, or that what they are doing is ok, rather than being taught something to compensate for their looks, they will forever be playing the volume game.
They will never have a mechanism to arouse women, they will be looking (at length in cold approaches) for a woman who happens to find them attractive physically, and never gaining the most important edge this community is about.
When the help offered looks like this, self help may be the best option.

I’ve read your comments and read the posts but I don’t see the correlation between the two. Either you know something we don’t know or you’re reading too much into it.
With that said there’s an issue here of reproducing private content. According to Australian law and ethics, it’s perfectly reasonable to print private content when it’s in the interest of the public.
If there was something here to show that their business practices were awry, then he’d be able to print it. People who leak that content are called whistleblowers and are needed for the press to operate.
On the other hand, the stuff that might have been pasted from Underscore isn’t in the public interest. Sure the public may be interested in it but it doesn’t EFFECT them in any way. So it would be highly unethical (as a journalist) to print it.

Ideally we are a communtiy, realistically were a market. Anyone who sells a product for PU has realixed this and positioned themselves to take advantange of it … the truth hurts …
Vir is right on the money. This pales in comparaison with whatever Fortune500 companies are doing. It’s part normal business stuff, part reframing IN THE BEST INTEREST of the student. There is absolutely nothing shocking there.
