New Lair Design

In my never ending quest to fritter away my life, I decided to give the lair yet another face lift. One of the biggest criticisms I got from the old design was that it was just too damn hard to read! So I decided to go for a brighter, cheerier Lair that was easier on the eyes.

I’m still in the process of tweaking everything, but this should be pretty much the final look for the site. If you have any suggestions, comments, criticisms, etc, let me know in the comments to this post.

Everything’s A-Okay

Well, it seems the Internet Gods are smiling upon me today. Perhaps it’s that virgin I sacrificed the other night, but regardless, it seems the Lair is up and running at full speed again, which warms the cuckholds of my cold, black heart. I never realized how quickly my work day went by because of this blog! Needless to say, the last few days have been hell at work, lol.

Anyway, looks like I’ll be updating regularly again. Maybe I’ll do some updates this weekend just to make up for lost time.

A few notes:

–I’m getting ready to redesign the blog to make it easier to read and more pleasent to look at, so look forward to seeing the Lair get a face lift in the coming weeks.

–Thanks to everyone who’s signed up to recieve the Sandbox, the Lair’s first newsletter! I’m looking at it as a bit of a grand experiment, but I’m talking to a few people about taking part in it’s initial mailing so there’s some good content in there. These newsletters won’t be archived, so best sign up now!

–There’s another interview on the way! Swinggcat’s interview went over so well, I’ve decided to make it a regular feature here on the blog. The next interview will be VERY good, with someone who’s been in the community a long time and proven he’s got some mad skills with the ladies. In fact, I just talked with this guy on Monday and he was driving home from a first-meet with a girl that turned into sex. Look for a lot of good seduction tactics from this upcoming chit-chat with the Thundercat!

–I’ve been talking to a lot of amazing Pick-Up artists who are following Tyler Durden’s lead. It seems that I now have 4 MAJOR Pick-Up Artists who have agreed to write exclusive articles for the Lair! I’m hoping to do one article a week from each, and it will be content EXCLUSIVE to the blog, so you won’t find it posted on mASF or anything like that. I’m hoping to get these going towards the end of the month, but it may not start until April.

All in all, it’s an interesting time for this website. I seem to be getting a lot of traffic lately, and it’s not just from people in the community. Also, if anyone out there visiting this site likes it and hosts their own website, please feel free to link me! I’ll return the favor. =)

Hosting Update

Okay, it turns out the screwy thing that’s been messing up the Lair lately has to do with a DNS problem with GoDaddy. I was on the phone with tech support all day and they told me they’d have the problem fixed in 24-48 hours. So hopefully, the Lair will be up and running at full steam come Friday.

Until then, I’m not going to be doing too many updates, just because most people might not be able to read them. Sorry for the mess, but it’s something that’s out of my hands.

The Sandbox

Okay, I’ve instituted a new feature on the blog. If you look to the top of the right column, you’ll find a sign-up for “The Sandbox,” which is a monthly newsletter I’ll be doing. It’s 100% free, and you’re not forced to sign up for it (like some other sites do), so you don’t have to subscribe if you don’t want to. What I’m finding is that I may not want to share some of my more personal field reports on the blog, but I might be willing to do so in a newsletter of sorts.

I’d also like to make it like a Cliff’s List type thing where anyone with something GOOD to say can write in and get published, so if you have an article or ideas you’d like to share, email me at ThundercatPUA@yahoo.com with the text IN THE E-MAIL! No attachments please.

I also plan on using the newsletter as a way to keep everyone updated of new products and calendar of events relating to PUA, Seminars, Workshops, Gatherings, and Events. I might even throw in a tasty bit of gossip or two to boot. =)

Headaches

Oy vey. It’s times like these I really hate computers. For some reason something is all out of whack and the Lair isn’t updating the way it should be. I’m working on getting things fixed right now, and when I do expect some big changes on the way. I’ll see if I can update when I can, but this week may turn out to be a “troubleshooting” event for the site with little in the way of good content. We’ll have to see how it goes. Hopefully I can get everything worked out by Wednesday so the week won’t be a total waste.

My Dinner with Orion

So last night I met up with the PUA community’s biggest mainsay, the one and only ORION.  Most people in the community will recognize the name, but for those of you who don’t, just go out and buy almost any product from Double Your Dating and SS and chances are you’ll hear him on there.  Orion has been going strong in the community for nearly 10 years now, and has been in the inner circle of big guys like David DeAngelo and other gurus.

I first met Orion back in October when I was at the Chicago DYD seminar.  I remember he was rather stand-offish when I originally tried to contact him, but once he realized I was a member of Mystery’s Lounge and good friends with Papa and Tyler Durden, he quickly warmed up.  It was kind-of wierd to meet the guy, because I’d spent years listening to audio of him espousing pick-up theory on various home study courses.  I guess it’s the equivalent of meeting a B-movie star, or an actor from TV who’s name you can’t remember but who’s face is instantly recognizable.  It’s funny, because he’s exactly how he is on the products you hear and see him on as he is in person — a funny, good hearted guy with a genuine excitement for pretty much everything he does.  Orion has a great energy about him, and is a genuine good guy to know.

In a lot of ways, Orion was an innovator in the seduction comunity, especially when it comes to the use of palm reading and handwriting analysis, as demonstrated by his Magical Connections videos.  When I taught alongside him in the live in-field RSD workshops in Chicago, I was impressed with the sheer zeal with which he attacks the game.  I’m often reminded of driving through downtown Chicago in a cab as Orion leaped over me in the backseat, stuck his head out the window of the moving car, and actually tried to sarge a girl walking on the sidewalk as we drived by.  If that doesn’t illustrate this guy’s passion for picking up women, I don’t know what does.  =)

Anyway, I met up with Orion and my buddy NuAje at the Grove and had a nice dinner (NuAje, I still owe you $20!).  During that time, we talked about a lot of stuff.  Orion was in town to meet up with his LA girlfriend, and seems to be getting more and more into the the fetish scene, which he says is easy to pick up in due to the easily suggestible girls who frequent it.  He especially likes Goth clubs, because the girls are usually more open to being adventurous.

I asked him about Kamal, his partner in the Magical Connection videos, and he said they’re still friends, though he hasn’t talked to him in a while.  Speaking of friends, we also talked about the David DeAngelo team-up with Tyler Durden and Real Social Dynamics where TD is now teaching the official DYD workshops.  Orion expressed some disappointment at being pushed out of the in-field training position that was originally his.  He talked about how he introduced David D to Papa and Tyler, and how he seems to have been cut out by those he helped champion.  But he seems confident in Tyler’s abilities as a Pick-Up Artist and a Teacher, and knows he’ll do well no matter what.

All in all, it was an interesting night and it was fun to see Orion again.  Hopefully, we’ll be seeing great things from him in the future.

The NEW Seduction Digest!

Well, I was worried that Minger, a buddy of mine and the guy who runs the DC Lair, had dropped off the face of the blogosphere when his website, Seduction Digest, basically went unupdated for a whole month. This was worrisom because I rather enjoyed Minger’s rather serious and well written analysis of a lot of the stuff that comes out of the community. In fact, I think it was Sickboy007 who told me Minger’s blog is like watching 60 Minutes while mine is more like reading Page 6, lol.

Anyway, it seems my fears were unfounded. Minger seems to have been hard at work upgrading the site! It looks great, and is at a new url — seductiondigest.com. Be sure to check it often! Hopefully Minger will start regular updates soon. =)

Hanging out with Tyler Durden

Okay, so this weekend I got a special treat, which was the opportunity to hang out with one of the best in the pick-up game currently — the incomparable Tyler Durden. The last time I hung out with Tyler was back in October when I was a guest instructor at the Chicago RSD workshop, so it was a real treat when Tyler called me up this weekend and asked to hang out.

On Saturday I went out to the Project Hollywood mansion and briefly crashed the Mystery Method seminar that was going on this past weekend. It was pretty cool to get to see Mystery holding court in the middle of their rather spacious living room, but I didn’t want to interfere too much with the proceedings, so I went on up to Tyler’s room to hang out.

Needless to say, Tyler hadn’t changed much since last time I saw him. He was lounging around in a dirty t-shirt and sweatpants with his hair all messed up — a distinctly NON-PEACOCKED version of the guy I had never gotten to see before, yet he still had that boyish passion and enthusiasm for the game. That’s one of the things I like about Tyler. I feel my game just improves by being around the guy. It’s almost like his energy is infectious, and his aura has a “midas touch” quality about it. Regardless, he’s also one hell of a fun guy to just bullshit with.

As I sat up in the master bedroom shooting the shit with him, we talked about a lot of stuff. He complimented me on my new “Hollywood Sleazball” look, which I’ve been cultivating since January. He also talked about how much he enjoys the blog, to which I replied “You actually read that shit?” lol. We also talked a bit about business, and how he’s looking forward to going to Australia next week for the DYD/RSD workshops. I tell you, I don’t envy Tyler that much (well, maybe I envy how much he gets laid, =). The dude’s got a hard job. I can’t imagine what it must be like going out with a group of AFCs expecting you to perform in an uncontroled field environment and actually having to perform night after night. Even though Tyler is young, you can tell the effects of the job are starting to take their toll. His voice is pretty strained and the guy looks constantly tired. But he just can’t stop sarging. He seems to love it too much.

On Sunday we went out to lunch together and talked a bit more about the game. I shared some of my own routines with him, and he shared some of his stuff with me. Tyler always has great material, but the thing I like about his stuff is that he’s actually able to explain and discuss the theory behind it. For instance, we had a discussion about a new opener he’s using that has the pitfall of making a girl feel guilty for cheating on her boyfriend, should she have one. Most PUAs might not have noticed there was a problem with the opener, but Tyler was able to break it down and try to fix it. Just the fact that the two of us were discussing it (and keep in mind, when it comes to the game, I’m no where near the level Tyler is), shows me that Tyler is truly a guy who will learn from anyone. In fact, that’s very much one of his biggest strengths. No matter who you are, if you have something good or intelligent to say, Tyler will absorb it, break it down, and improve upon it — kind of like the Japan of the PUA community! lol.

He also shared a new concept he’s working on with me called “Reverse State Openers” (or something like that. My memory is bad enough as it is, I can’t remember stupid details like like names for openers. I’ll have to call him up and get my facts straight about what he actually calls it). Anyway, the idea behind these openers is to go into set incredibly AFC, to the point of being rediculous, so that it’s actually funny. He did a few examples for me and I was on the floor laughing. I can only imagine what it must be like for a girl, because the opener is also one hell of a way to pace her reality. Tyler says these new openers go over very well, and I want to see one at work in the field.

But the big news from our meetings comes down to this: Tyler has agreed to write a regular column for the blog. That’s right, Tyler Durden, one of the best Pick-Up Artists in the game, is going to reguarly write a monthly article exclusively for Thundercat’s Seduction Lair. I’ll be starting a special archive for all his posts here as well so they can all be accessed by anyone at any time. Tyler is never at a lack for things to write about, and this just gives him yet another outlet to let his creative juices flow. Keep in mind this will NOT be stuff you’ll find on mASF or RSD newsletters. This material will be EXCLUSIVE to the blog. And best of all, it’ll be free!!!

So there you have it folks. A new contributor for the blog, and a new outlet to help you guys get better at picking up women! I plan to get the first article of Tyler’s up and running sometime towards the end of March, so keep on checking back for it.
