Here it is in a nutshell, folks: The ‘gurus’ are arrested-development narcissistic headcases who are so driven to fill the void in their lives, they cease being human and morph into automated emotionless fleshdolls (robots) implanted with microchips programmed from the cult of seduction.

I hear the book is ALL out. Good for style for not selling out and making something politically correct.

Easy. Due to sheer luck, or looks or by the use of money. There weren’t that many using ‘game’. Also, guys like most of us in this community (the ‘GEEKS’) just didn’t get laid and if they did, chances are it wasn’t with girls anyone would consider ‘hot’.

Probably most of our dads got laid by being providers, spending money, and playing with women that pre-selected them (i.e. women within their league). If you think there were people trading tactics and using tactics like these, you’re dreaming.

Whether anything will change significantly is still up in the air. It could be that it will, but then it might not. Just look at Japan, where the whole ‘nampa/pickup’ phenomenom has been open for a while; it doesn’t look like it’s changed anything. Then again, this is not Japan, and if people expect to be able to use the same techniques that are popular now…I don’t know. I think those will be the new lame pickup lines.
All I know is that, like someone said, whatever effective line or tactic I stumble upon on the field will stay between me and my friends. I won’t be sharing anymore; fuck that.

There have always been successful seducers and unsuccessful AFCs. The point is that none of this stuff is new at all. Negging is not new. Being direct is not new. While what you say about the existance of seducers, their methods and AFC’s is factually correct, there is also the reality that there weren’t that many guys before who had access to all of this stuff (let alone from a book that is in the top 20 list on Amazon). It’s probably also true that these seducers in the past were not ‘geeks’, or socially stunted guys, to the extent that many of us here are/were. Then there is also something to be said about the fact that seducers were relatively scarce, and what value this gave them.
Then again, like I said, PU has been out in the open in Japan for a while, and as far as I can tell (not living there), nothing changed much over there. The only thing is that I don’t think it has been mass marketed like this.
As you can see, while I’m not pleased about the publicity, I still have some faint hope that the damage will be small. I still don’t think I’ll be sharing anymore, though, because I don’t want thousands of other guys using the same shit.

While I am of the opinion that Mr. Gordon is generally very abrassive, I do find that some of his points (even some techniques he advocates) are valid.
Either way, I’m curious as to what people think of the fact that the game has been out on the open in places like Japan, without changing much in the way women respond to ‘the Game’. Granted, as far as I know there hasn’t been a mass marketed book on it, but it’s been an ‘open secret’ for quite a while.
I am not sure that the situation will turn out the same here, but I am hoping that it does.
