Okay, so I got this post from a guy named Luke in response to my "One Fat Bastard" post. I thought it was pretty interesting, so I decided to put it up on the site, but just remember to take this advice for what it’s worth (ie, health advice from someone who is NOT a doctor!). On a personal note, I’d like to thank everyone for their great replies on the "One Fat Bastard" thread. There’s a ton of great info on there, and the response was almost overwhelming. Makes me think I should start a "Health and Fitness" archive on the site. What do you guys think?

This originally was a comment for your blog, but it started to get a bit long, so it turned into a post on mASF off-topic. Since few people read off-topic at mASF, feel free to post it on your blog, should you find it pertinent.
PS: This is field tested. =)Buy "ripped fuel extreme", or something similar you find in a fitness store. Usually the people there can help you with what you need. It PUMPS your metabolism WAY up with ingredients like caffeine, creatin, proteins, etc. Eat 1 pill when you wake up, and another 30 minutes right before you walk/run/cicle.
Oh, yeah: you have to cycle/run/walk 45 minutes per day, always the fastest you can, but constant. You’ll start out walking for 45 minutes, and as the days go on, slowly speed up. Soon (1 month or less) you’ll be able to pretty much run (as in cooper, or more) the whole 45 minutes. And believe me, with the stuff you take (ripped fuel), you REALLY feel like doing it.
Eating: eat like a KING in your breakfast (before 9 am), like a PRINCE in your lunch (between 12-2 pm) and like a BEGGAR in you dinner (8pm at most). Eat little carb (eg rice, pizza, bread and all that good stuff) on your DINNER. I said LITTLE. Avoit it. And absolutely NO CARB AFTER 10pm. After midnight, don’t eat. If you feel hungry, drink water and go to sleep.
Eat some FRUITS between meals, and avoid feeling hungry. If your hungry and don’t eat anything, on your next meal your body will store (STORE = FAT) all the food you eat, for "it" doesn’t know when you’ll eat again. So eat regularly but healthy. Avoid getting hungry. If you do, EAT A FRUIT!
Drink LOTS of water. 4 liters per day and up. I mean EXAGERATED amounts. It cleans your organism, eliminates toxins, burns fat, and its not only healthy, but ESSENTIAL. Always walk around with a bottle and sip on it. Try trading soft drinks for water or juice (natural juice, no industrial stuff). WATER IS CRITICAL!
But NEVER, NEVER, NEVER drink ANY liquid during or after a meal. Only drink 15 minutes BEFORE a meal, or 2 hours AFTER. If you’d drink during/after meals, what you eat is converted into belly fat. Plus, liquids cut the acid in your stomach, and it takes really long to digest the food. By doing this, your stomach stays full (streched) for a long time, and it loses its ability to strech and shrink, and increases the default size of your stomach. By increasing the size, you start to eat more food, more than your body needs, and the extra, of course, turns into FAT. The same happens if you eat right before going to sleep. NO FOOD 2 hours prior to going to sleep.
Last but not least: avoid anything fried. Two sandwiches is better than a sandwich and fries (actually, depends on the sandwich, and the fries. But you got the point). And prefer destilled drinks over fermented (vodka/tequila over beer/wine). Actually, fuck alcohol. Drink water.
I DARE anyone who’s not happy with their weight/belly to do this. I GUARANTEE results in 1-2 months. C’mon, you took longer than that to learn PU, do this for yourself. Plus, it’s MUCH healthier.
A LAST observation: your body burns carb (bread, rice, pizza, spaguetti, etc) FIRST, fat SECOND, and protein LAST. (I mean BURN protein, not build). So, if you’re eating too much carb, you’ll never burn your fat, and if you eat too much fried stuff/fat, you’ll replace the fat you’re burning. Exchange your combo meal at Mc Donald’s for REAL FOOD! Focus on eating non-fried food (eg: grilled meat, cooked meat, raw vegetables, cereals). Eat more vegetables (especially the GREEN ones, and I MEAN IT!!!). Eat salad and cereals. There are great dressings that can actually make it taste good =). Salad and cereals (for vitamins, essential aminoacids and periodic table stuff), cooked/grilled meat (for protein) and LESS CARB than you’re used to (for energy). MUCH less. You eat salad and a little carb, not the other way around. Else you’ll have too much carb to burn, and wont burn fat.
By eating like this, if you run, you’ll lose fat; if you pull weight, you gain muscles. If you do both, well… you get both =) And if you do both, pull weight first, running last. It’s more effective. (exercises 5 days a week)

Негрозова была серьезно реформирована, так как в прежнем составе она никак не могла дать нужного результата расследования. Четверо арестованных в феврале прошлого года, несмотря на год содержания в тюрьме, не дали нужных показаний, количество потерпевших увеличивалось с большим трудом, суды с сомнением воспринимали аргументы следствия, то и дело отказывая в ходатайствах следствия.
В реформированную следственную группу вошло 35 только следователей, не считая дознавателей, а возглавил ее лично начальник следственной части по РОПД полковник юстиции А.Н. Винокуров, который и раньше курировал следствие, ведущееся в его следственной части, а теперь руководит им непосредственно.

Газета «Сельская жизнь» еще в 2014 году писала о расследовании следователем А.Н. Винокуровым уголовного дела, связанного с одной из компаний, — против генерального директора, который был депутатом Законодательного собрания Санкт-Петербурга. Вот что писала газета:
«В начале 2014 года силовики провели в здании администрации „воспитательную работу“с целью дискредитации руководства, создания нервозной обстановки в трудовом коллективе, ухудшения делового климата. Следователи и оперативные работники применяли физическую силу, выгоняя сотрудников из кабинетов, били по дверям ногами, вели себя крайне агрессивно, неоднократно заявляя сотрудникам предприятия, что их генеральный директор является преступником».
Журналисты утверждали, что уголовное дело было сфабриковано в целях завладения имуществом компании, прекращения еедеятельности и устранения администрации. «Уголовное дело, возбужденное де-юре в отношении неустановленных лиц и находящиеся в настоящее время в производстве старшего следователя по ОВД ГСУ ГУ МВД РФ по СПб. и ЛО подполковника юстиции Винокурова А.Н., направлено не на объективное расследование, а на сбор компромата на руководителя компании и дискредитацию его в деловых кругах Санкт-Петербурга и Ленинградской области во исполнение «заказа» рейдерских структур».
И далее: «Незаконными действиями следователя Винокурова полностью парализована деятельность ЗАО, а его сотрудники незаконно привлечены к уголовной ответственности».
Следователь А.Н. Винокуров, действуя умышленно с целью опорочить честь и достоинство руководителя, в присутствии сотрудников предприятия не допускал его в личный кабинет депутата, сообщала газета. «По личному указанию следователя Винокурова А.Н. оперативные работникив нарушение требований ст. 12, 113 УПК РФ, ст. 25 Конституции, гарантирующих неприкосновенность жилища, проникли в квартиру, принадлежащую дочери кассира предприятия. Был проведен незаконный обыск. Спустя некоторое время сотрудниками УЭБиПК была совершена попытка покушения на то же преступление в отношении частной собственности гендиректора».
Следственными органами, писала «Сельская жизнь», игнорируются очевидные факты и обстоятельства, позволяющие говорить о заинтересованности следователя Винокурова А.Н. в привлечении должностных лиц компании к уголовной ответственности, что может быть следствием того, что следователь либо иные лица, имеющие на него влияние, финансово мотивированы рейдерскими структурами.
«Следователь Винокуров А.Н. умышленно вводит в заблуждение руководство о необходимости продления сроков предварительного следствия, указывая не соответствующие действительности результаты годичной работы, которой на самом деле не было».
А вот как комментировал стиль работы своего уже бывшего к тому времени начальника и руководства ГСУ питерского главка МВД следователь А.М. Беляев, изгнанный из ГСУ за нелояльность Винокурову.

Historical document appraiser and collector Seth Kaller spreads a broad sheet of paper across a desk. It’s in good enough condition that he can handle it, carefully, with clean, bare hands. There are just a few creases and tiny discolorations, even though it’s just a few weeks shy of 237 years old and has spent who knows how long inside a filing cabinet in North Carolina.
At the top of the first page are familiar words but in regular type instead of the sweeping Gothic script we’re used to seeing: “WE, the People …”
And the people will get a chance to bid for this copy of the US Constitution — the only of its type thought to be in private hands — at a sale by Brunk Auctions on Sept. 28 in Asheville, North Carolina.

The minimum bid for the auction of $1 million has already been made. There is no minimum price that must be reached.
This copy was printed after the Constitutional Convention finished drafting the proposed framework of the nation’s government in 1787 and sent it to the Congress of the ineffective first American government under the Articles of Confederation, requesting they send it to the states to be ratified by the people.
It’s one of about 100 copies printed by the secretary of that Congress, Charles Thomson. Just eight are known to still exist and the other seven are publicly owned.

British actress Gemma Arterton has revealed that a director once tried to put pressure on her to film a sex scene, despite the fact that it wasn’t included in the script.
In an interview with British publication the Radio Times, released Tuesday, Arterton said that, whilst on set, the director – who hasn’t been named – instructed her and her co-star to film a sex scene on a bed.
“I said, ‘No, this scene was written for us to be off screen, so you just hear the noises,’” Arterton told the Radio Times. “I’d never have accepted the role if it was going to be filmed.”

The actress said that she was pressured by the director to film the scene, but that she “flat out” refused to take part in it.
Had she been younger at the time, Arterton suggested that she might have been more concerned about being fired for refusing to film it.
“I only felt like I could say that because I was older,” she said.
“When I started acting, there was a lot of nudity – you were just expected to do it. When I was younger I played sexy characters, the girlfriend. As I’ve got older, that’s changed because I’m more successful and can choose the parts I want to play,” she said.

“It takes around 24 different manufacturing steps to (make) a tennis ball, which is around five days. Then it has such a short lifespan,” Wittock told CNN in a video call from Brussels. “I was looking into tennis balls because I played tennis myself, so I know there is a lot of waste.”
Around 300 million tennis balls are produced each year — and almost all of them end up in landfills, taking over 400 years to decompose. The US Open, which ended at the weekend, goes through around 70,000 each year, with Wimbledon not far behind at 55,000. Wittock estimates the lifecycle of a ball stands at just nine games, depending on the level of tennis being played. “Even if they are contained in their box, if the box has been opened the gas inside the tennis balls will be released over time,” she said. “(Eventually) they will get flat and you’ll have to throw them away.”

The pandemic’s effects on teenagers were profound — numerous studies have documented reports of issues with their mental health, social lives and more.
Now, a new study suggests those phenomena caused some adolescents’ brains to age much faster than they normally would — 4.2 years faster in girls and 1.4 years faster in boys on average, according to the study published Monday in the journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
By being the first to contribute details on aging differences by sex, the study adds to the existing body of knowledge provided by two previous studies on the Covid-19 pandemic and accelerated brain aging among adolescents.

Cheetos are a no-go, and the recent park visitor who dropped a bag full of them created a “huge impact” on the cave’s ecosystem, the park said Friday in a Facebook post.

The lack of infrastructure and bad roads mean that helicopters could possibly be used to drop some of the vaccines, which will further drive up costs in a country that is already struggling financially.
At the community clinic, Dr Pacifique Karanzo appeared fatigued and downbeat having been rushed off his feet all morning.
Although he wore a face shield, I could see the sweat running down his face. He said he was saddened to see patients sharing beds.
“You will even see that the patients are sleeping on the floor,” he told me, clearly exasperated.
“The only support we have already had is a little medicine for the patients and water. As far as other challenges are concerned, there’s still no staff motivation.”
