Poll: Who Will Win VH1′s The Pick Up Artist?

Okay, so the season finale of VH1′s The Pick Up Artist is this coming Monday, and there are only two contestants left – Kosmo and Brady.
So the real question is, who will win?

Kosmo: He’s our favorite, self-delusional, but oh-so-sweet Latino Heat contestant. Kosmo has a lot going for him. First of all, he’s improved a great deal since episode 1 where he was completely unable to approach women. His head has yet to be on the chopping block for elimination, EVER. He’s a good looking dude, he’s athletic, AND he’s actually gotten a make-out with a girl and was able to bounce to a cafe from a club with two girls. He’s also apparently a very good kisser according to Tara. He’s a natural born competitor (the dude is a boxer), and knows how to psyche out his opponents. However, sometimes he gets flustered and loses sight of his goal, and he doesn’t always pay attention to Mystery’s teachings. He also has some major self esteem and body issues, it seems.

Brady: Brady was my pick to win at the beginning of the season, but now I’m not so sure. His head has been on the chopping block a number of times, and there were more than a few instances where it seemed like he plateaued. He’s also relied a bit too much on his looks in a lot of the challenges. However, he has been steadily improving. He’s really listening to Mystery’s teachings and applying them, and he’s been getting some results. Not only was he able to bounce from a club with a STRIPPER, he was also able to make out with her, even if it did take him a while to pull the trigger. This at least puts him on an even footing with Kosmo, in terms of success rate on the show. He’s also got a good look to him that can compete with Kosmo as well, though Kosmo does have a better personality (face it, Brady is pretty boring.).
So who will win? The final challenge comes down to their ability to teach other guys what they have learned, so it may come down to who is the best communicator. Who that is, is anyone’s guess, since I don’t think either of them are very good at communicating to others, but if I had to guess, I’d say the advantage goes to Kosmo o that one.
So over-all, my prediction of the ultimate winner and new mPUA is: Kosmo.
What do you guys think? Agree? Disagree? Let me know who you want to be the next Pick Up Artist!

The Daily Show had Mystery and Matador do an appearance recently. The sketch itself isn’t all that funny (it’s chick humor), but it’s cool to see Mystery and his "greasy wingman" get some airtime. =)

The Pick Up Artist – Episode 7 Recap: “Pull The Trigger”

Last time on the Pick Up Artist, everyone’s favorite Diabolical Genius, Pradeep, got his ass "Game Overed," leaving just three would-be pick up artists in the running.
They are: Big Joe, Kosmo, and Brady.
The episode starts with Brady and Kosmo downstairs, hoping that Pradeep was the one eliminated. You can tell they were pulling for Big Joe by such supportive mantras as "C’mon, butterball!" and "I hope Pradeep got his brown ass kicked the fuck out!"
Big Joe comes downstairs, and the now traditional "Post Elimination Hug Fest" (or PEHF) ensues. Though Big Joe is safe, he’s feeling the pressure, because Mystery and the boys basically told him he’s plateauing. "I’ve gotta step it up!" says Big Joe. "As long as I can build up as much attraction as I possibly can, that’s gonna lead me to still be here!" Okay, we’ll see how well that strategy works out for Joe later in the episode.
The next day, Brady asks Kosmo what he thinks they’re going to have to do today. Kosmo then promptly AMOGs the dude by saying "Whatever it is, no hitting on guys, Brady." Oh, SNAP! He follows that one up by claiming Brady has "girl fingers." He pretty much does everything but make fun of the size of Brady’s wee-wee. Could Kosmo be playing mind games to psych out the competition? Maybe he’s smarter than I gave him credit for.
Brady comments on how Kosmo is getting more competitive, and how he sees him as his only real competition at this point. (And seeing how Big Joe has been performing lately, I can’t say I disagree with this assessment.)

The Pick Up Artist – Episode 6 Recap: “Bitch Slap”

So this time around, on VH1′s The Pick Up Artist, the producers really try to amp up the drama – unsuccessfully. Could there be any less interesting rivalries on this show? Face it – all the guys are WAY too nice. Rock Of Love, this show is not…
So today we start with the loving embrace of Brady, as he returns from elimination. Apparently everyone was shocked to see Gay Joe leave… at least until they realized he was gay, then they seemed fine with it.
Everyone except Pradeep, that is, who seems to miss his Sugar Daddy. No sooner does he stop hugging Brady than he starts throwing a tantrum about them kicking off Gay Joe and keeping boring old Brady. Way to score points with the front-runner, buddy. Perhaps this is more of Pradeep’s diabolical genius at work? We shall see. Oh yes, we shall see.
Big Joe, being the only Joe left, vows to honor their Queer friend’s memory by giving it 110%, because if they only give it 90%, or 98%, or 99.9%, they’re slapping Gay Joe in the face. (Seriously, they’re acting like the guy died! He just left the stupid house to frolic in the land of milk and honey, is all. Chill out fellas!)
