I stumbled upon an interesting article about what men want women to be, and how women pretty much agree with it…
It was the feminist dream of the 1960s – a world in which men and women share the load equally.
But it seems the fairer sex has all but abandoned the struggle. According to research published today, most men want a traditional wife – and women are often only too happy to oblige.
In turn, it claims that the husband women most desire is a ‘retrosexual’ – meaning they are more hunter gatherer than a ‘metrosexual’ stay-at-home father.
More than 1,500 adults were asked about the attributes that they ‘most valued’ in a spouse or partner. Their answers could have been taken from a manual to happy married life in the 1950s.
At the top of the men’s list was ‘taking care of the home’, followed by cooking, cleaning and great parenting.
Only 16 per cent said they value ‘financial stability’ in a woman – which means most men put domestic bliss above a wife who calls the shots in the boardroom.
The research from the Yorkshire Building Society found many women are making equally conventional choices.
Nearly 40 per cent said ‘financial stability’ is one of the most important qualities in their husband and they rank gardening as more important than an ability to cook or clean.
Tanya Jackson, corporate affairs manager at the building society, said: ‘A lot of women used to think they wanted a metrosexual man.
‘But then they realised they were fed up with a man who spent longer in the bathroom than they did.
‘Many women now feel they actually want a hunter-gatherer and they will look after their man in return.’
Figures from the Office for National Statistics bear out the claims. More than 2.1 million women say they do not work because they are ‘looking after their family or home’.
Only 193,000 men gave the same answer – a figure which has fallen by 6 per cent over the past year.
Wait a minute… you mean the feminist were WRONG?????? You mean women actually LIKE IT when a guy acts like a freakin’ guy instead of a gay dude? They actually PREFER to stay at home and eat bon-bons while the husband goes out, works his ass off, and brings home the bacon??? That women LIKE IT when a guy steps up and takes care of them instead of having to go to an office wearing a pantsuit every day????

If I were a chick I wouldn’t want to stay home and do menial shit like cooking and cleaning. I’d want to get out there in the world and make a difference.
Women are just as entitled to have a career as a guy. Housework is demeaning.

urgh, i liked this article until i read the source. The daily mail is the british equivalent of right-wing jesuits in america. i wouldnt take those statistics too seriously (even though they are probably right in reality).
it really depends who is answering the surveys, the way that they are phrased etc. Of course a woman might value financial stability in a man more so than a man in a woman, but perhaps because, if a woman is to have children she must rely completely on the income of her husband for around a year, even if she goes back to work soon after the pregnancy.
This was a nice article. It kind of spelled out some of the current feelings of today’s society.
When it comes down to it, if you want a wife who does house work the whole day and likes it, I’m sure you could find one like that, but if you want one that brings home the bacon, they’re definitely out there too…
With some of the tricks that I know, you can usually pick up this vibe within 5 minutes of meeting her without directly asking her any awkward questions.

My mother is beautiful but said had she been born a few years later, she would have become a lawyer and run for office. It’s great seeing her blossom and use her beauty and charm and warmth and smarts and sheer energy to gain power in her environmental event production company.
She said it was excruciating being home all day with the kids, she loved it, she loved cooking, but by the time my dad pulled up she had been looking out the window pining for him to come home. She wasn’t home by choice. When you’re not there by choice you are a prisoner.
It’s confusing with women’s advancement and it has certainly upended the dating scene; witness how well “The Rules” sell as well as “The Game” and the seduction community.
But no, there is no going back. I feel MORE feminine and sexy by unleashing my assertiveness in the workplace. We have nowhere to go but forward fellas, we have to figure this out and we will. And one way that will help women go forward is for men to help other men be men again, which the seduction community is thankfully doing.

I’m kind of indifferent about the subject.. When are girl tells me “I’ve always seen myself as a house wife” I can’t help but to think what an F’in loser.. but taking care of the house is important. If that is what you have always seen yourself doing what kind of ambition are you going to pass on to your children???
