Okay, the next part of the report is here! I was mistaken in my last post, it looks like this is going to be a 3-part report, so there’s still one more to go. Part II covers people like Mystery, Bishop, Toecutter, and Juggler. It looks like the last part will deal with David Shade, Zan, David D, and Style (the most powerful of the Jedi). Stay tuned!!!
Saturday, July 16th.
Patty Contenta of sensualitysecrets.com has been on several DYD programs. Contemplate the difference between sensual and sexual. See more than just a woman’s body, view her posture and what it tells me about her confidence and her sensuality. Expand my sensual awareness by listening to unique music and identifying different sounds within; trying unique foods, and so on. This will equip me to create sensual moments! (Side note: if this is interesting to you, I highly recommend the book Think like Leonardo Da Vinci by Gelb to help develop your senses). Recognize that women wear clothes for the way they feel on their body. Different handshake, kino, and dancing techniques were given. With respect to dancing, my energy should be in my hips and I should open them up. Touch her as she invites it, give a little with boldness and then tease by taking it back. Good, sensual dance is the perfect metaphor for how a good seduction should progress. A good male dancer takes charge and leads but at the same time is very attuned to her cues.
Doc of lifeskillsnetwork.ca talked a lot about becoming aware of what I project outwards. What is the first impression I give to others? When we see a guy with a hot woman, we often say “what does she see in him?” Take this question seriously! He had us do an exercise where we talk to a complete stranger about normal, everyday stuff, and then we rate each other from 1-10. This was a real eye opener! If I am an 8, then that is precisely what I am going to attract in women. Ways to improve my rating are:
- Better use of physical space.
- Do I know where I am going in my life?
- Whether I know what I am talking about is often decided before I even open my mouth
- My look: like a leader or follower? Sexual or not? Cl.othes should enhance my physique, be slightly off-center.
- Is my voice like a buddy or like a lover late at night?
Women are looking for confidence, status, warmth and authenticity, and a sense of humour, in that order. All of these things project outward by being socially popular. He gave great tips on quickly building a large social network. He explained that the only physiological difference between fear and excitement is my PERCEPTION of the event, whether positive or negative.
Bishop (Michael Emery) of www.new-alpha-com. WOW. Having never seen him before and being aware of some of the fighting between him and Ross Jeffries on TC’s blog, I was greatly anticipating this speaker. He sure had a lot of good things to say, and I am glad I took at least a few notes because my mind kept racing over the controversies and what I had imagined he would look like, and why Ross Jeffries was not speaking at this seminar, and so forth. It was hard for me to concentrate. I am going to need to see the video to get the full impact of his presentation (and many others too). Frankly, he seemed a bit nervous in his body language. I can imagine that this was an intense experience for him as well. But the content was excellent, to the degree I was able to concentrate.
Shyness can often be mistaken for aloofness. A great way to get over shyness is to take stage theater classes. My voice says so much more than just words; it is a projection of my conviction, my confidence and my beliefs. When I am really good at something, that is power, which means that I need to be conscious of who I might hurt with this power. When I have someone’s trust and confidence and attention, I am responsible for that.
My subconscious mind retains every single thing, like a packrat. I need to really delve into why I do the things I do and the way in which I do them. Often we do things in a manner that we are not even consciously aware of. Some good affirmations to direct the subconscious were given. Anything perceived as negative can be turned into a positive. For example in my case, my own shyness has led me to become a great reader and writer, and to learn many technical aspects of the real estate business that a more outgoing person would not have taken the time to do. Now I can create an outgoing personality to go with this inner knowledge.
Toecutter (Steve Celeste) of www.smoothinteractions.com has an extremely interesting life. Every several years he drops everything he is doing and moves to another country. This means he has to find a new job, new friends, and learn the dynamics of an entirely new social environment. Sometimes this even means learning a new language, as he lived in Argentina and now lives in Montréal. Having lived in several countries myself, I found this extremely interesting, as he gave many insights on how to build a social network from scratch.
To begin with, it’s a mistake to hook up with a girlfriend at the outset. The first thing one needs to do is find a couple of different, cool guy friends. Next, have one or two regular hangout spots and get to know all the staff. Work on bringing that outside social life back home for barbecues and so forth. That way, when a high-quality woman comes along, I’ve already got built in social proof, and an actual interesting life that she can fit right into.
Our inhibitions with women come from being told as a child “don’t talk to strangers”; “don’t be a showoff”; and “kids should be seen and not heard”. So it’s a fear of being visible and being the centre of attention, along with a fear of sexual rejection. The best way to get over the latter is to approach in a non-sexual manner. That way, if a rejection occurs it is not a sexual rejection, just part of a woman’s normal validation game that she plays. Later, if I like the girl, I can transition to a sexual nature.
Internet addiction is a huge problem creating approach anxiety, and it’s understandable that the first approach after getting off the computer is going to be the hardest. So talk to shop attendants and anyone I can talk to as a real human being to break out of the online mindset.
As far as routines go, contemplate the questions that I get asked over and over again, such as where I am from, or what I do for work. These form the perfect material for routines, because the target is highly likely to walk into it, and they comprise elements of my life that I know a lot about. So think about this deeply and come up with a variety of responses, incorporating all the personality-conveying elements that I want!.
He talked about the three simultaneous dances of courtship:
- Body Language/Manipulation of Personal Space
- The Pursuer and the Pursued
- The Dance of Energy.
There is way too much detail here to expound upon, but I found it highly valuable for getting me in the right headspace in my interactions. I strongly recommend research into Toecutter’s thoughts on this if you, like me, find yourself disoriented from time-to-time during an interaction.
Savoy (Nick) works with Mystery (www.mysterymethod.com). He told us to be genuine and have genuine intentions and not lie. I have a lot more power to get what I want than I may think. If I am in a relationship, it’s a bad idea to take these PUA skills and throw them in her face and rub it in. I should be genuine but not skip over the rules as far as wussiness, etc. If I want to attract and hold a 9 or a 10 I need to have built a coherent and convincing id that is both attractive to her reality and congruent with who I am. I should therefore take the Venutian arts on my own terms.
He talked about people who post fake lay reports on mASF or other fakeness really hurt the community. The purpose is that we all contribute to a growing and expanding model of true experience that can help everyone.
If I do have a relationship with a hot woman, I need to keep sharpening my PUA skills (this does not necessarily mean fucking other women!) otherwise I am practically guaranteed to wreck the relationship. Many guys learn this stuff because they want a girlfriend, which is cool, but once they get that girlfriend they stop learning and practicing and later have to go back and start all over again after they get dumped.
If I am not getting what I want from life or from women it is entirely due to limiting beliefs; it is all in my head.
Juggler (www.charismasciences.com) is a quirky, funny guy! He is very humble and admits to making LOTS of mistakes. He believes in a more genuine, direct approach. Mundane conversation, which others refer to as “boring”, is perfectly fine if done with the right tonality and a strong intent. In any pickup, I need to first understand where a woman is at, then make a connection with her, then lead her where I want to go.
People who have known each other for a long time can often glance at each other and completely size up a situation; it is the opposite with strangers. For that reason, at the beginning of an interaction, my gestures and facial expressions need to be somewhat exaggerated.
Use descriptive language that involves all five senses. Questions tighten people up, so statements are better.
Positive presumptions: Presume she is into the things I am into and start talking about these. Assuming I have identified my target demographic, approaching this way has several advantages: I can quickly start talking about the stuff I like; I will have lots to talk about; if she’s into those things she’ll think I am a genius at intuition; I’ll screen out uninteresting women; at a minimum I will demonstrate that I am used to hanging with chicks of that nature and feel as though she’s slightly disappointed me.
Negative presumptions are GREAT for AMOG tactics, i.e.: “How old will you be when your mother stops dressing you?” (Presuming something negative).
Must escalate like this: Move forward each step as a REWARD for her being interesting or doing something I like. I must be just ever-so-slightly intimidating/scary, which is a show of power to her. A short window opens and I MUST show my sexual intentions during that window.
I should be into what I am talking about, but not attached to it (book recommendation: The Power of Now). If I am acting tentative, it’s a good sign that I am in my head and not in the moment.
An approach should be taken like breaking boards in Karate. If you are worried about getting your fingers broken, you will break your fingers! The key is to focus at a point BEYOND the board, and then you will go right through it easily. Instead of focusing on the opener, therefore, focus on where I expect to be AFTER the opener.
A method for overcoming any fear: Anytime I think of something I DON’T want to do, I FORCE MYSELF to go do it. For example, “man, it would sure be scary to approach THAT group”, then go approach!.
Status: The person who controls the group is NOT the one that everyone listens to. It is the one that everyone wants to TALK TO.
The floor was opened to questions. I asked Juggler what advise he had for those with relationships, since he mentioned that he had a girlfriend. He started to answer “Well, I am really not the person to ask, my specialty is…” So I cut him off and said, “Oh, it’s not going to well for you, eh?”. Everyone busted up, including him! He then responded with some good advice “Never threaten the relationship”, as in don’t threaten to walk out every time you don’t get your own way.
Mystery
Like Tyler and Toecutter and a few others, he had TONS of info packed into a short segment. His theme was LMR, and he believes that he has solved LMR for good!
LMR is a horrible, uncontrollable fear built right into the circuitry of most women, and it is my job to ease her through it. Mystery has talked a lot about LMR on mASF. I am not sure if he has yet given the precise cure for it or not in such an explicit way as he did here, so I am not going to reveal the details just yet. If Mystery tells me it’s ok, I will make a separate post on it, giving him all the credit, of course. I took extensive notes and believe I understand it thoroughly and can now explain it very well to others.
I will say that this one segment was worth the entire price of the seminar for me. This guy is a fucking genius. Actually I felt that way to some degree about most of the speakers – this was world-class stuff here.
Now Mystery was dressed in this ridiculous bee outfit; everything was yellow and black, right down to the little padded cover on his wireless microphone. Totally fucking wack! Amazingly though, it did not take away from his presentation one bit; everyone was listening with rapt attention for the entire segment. There are not too many people who could wear such outrageous clothes and at the same time have people take them seriously on an academic discussion like this one.
I asked the question: “Is there anything we can do to speed up the 7-hour average?” Mystery responded that multiple venue changes were key to speeding up comfort, and explained why.
Well, that covers the first two out of three days. The third day was the best out of the three! Get ready for Part Two of my Review, which includes David Shade, the Threesome Panel (Toecutter, David Shade, Steve Piccus), DJ, Sensei, Zan, Style and David DeAngelo! Stay tuned!!!

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris in Washington on Thursday. Leon Neal/Getty Images

—
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit to the White House on Thursday could be his final chance to convince a receptive American president of his country’s war aims.
megaweb15.at
The precise details of the “victory plan” Zelensky plans to present in separate meetings to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are unknown, having been closely held until they are presented to the American leaders.
But according to people briefed on its broad contours, the plan reflects the Ukrainian leader’s urgent appeals for more immediate help countering Russia’s invasion. Zelensky is also poised to push for long-term security guarantees that could withstand changes in American leadership ahead of what is widely expected to be a close presidential election between Harris and former President Donald Trump.
The plan, people familiar with it said, acts as Zelensky’s response to growing war weariness even among his staunchest of western allies. It will make the case that Ukraine can still win — and does not need to cede Russian-seized territory for the fighting to end — if enough assistance is rushed in.
That includes again asking permission to fire Western provided long-range weapons deeper into Russian territory, a line Biden once was loathe to cross but which he’s recently appeared more open to as he has come under growing pressure to relent.
Even if Biden decides to allow the long-range fires, it’s unclear whether the change in policy would be announced publicly.
Biden is usually apt to take his time making decisions about providing Ukraine new capabilities. But with November’s election potentially portending a major change in American approach to the war if Trump were to win, Ukrainian officials — and many American ones — believe there is little time to waste.

Trump has claimed he will be able to “settle” the war upon taking office and has suggested he’ll end US support for Kyiv’s war effort.
“Those cities are gone, they’re gone, and we continue to give billions of dollars to a man who refused to make a deal, Zelensky. There was no deal that he could have made that wouldn’t have been better than the situation you have right now. You have a country that has been obliterated, not possible to be rebuilt,” Trump said during a campaign speech in Mint Hill, North Carolina, on Wednesday.
Comments like those have lent new weight to Thursday’s Oval Office talks, according to American and European officials, who have described an imperative to surge assistance to Ukraine while Biden is still in office.
As part of Zelensky’s visit, the US is expected to announce a major new security package, thought it will likely delay the shipping of the equipment due to inventory shortages, CNN previously reported according to two US officials. On Wednesday, the US announced a package of $375 million.
The president previewed Zelensky’s visit to the White House a day beforehand, declaring on the margins of the United Nations General Assembly his administration was “determined to ensure that Ukraine has what it needs to prevail in fight for survival.”
mega web
“Tomorrow, I will announce a series of actions to accelerate support for Ukraine’s military – but we know Ukraine’s future victory is about more than what happens on the battlefield, it’s also about what Ukrainians do make the most of a free and independent future, which so many have sacrificed so much for,” he said.

Scientists say skeletal remains found in castle well belong to figure from 800-year-old saga
Researchers have connected the identity of skeletal remains found in a well at Norway’s Sverresborg castle to a passage in a centuries-old Norse text.
The 800-year-old Sverris saga, which follows the story of the real-life King Sverre Sigurdsson, includes the tossing of the body of a dead man — later known as “Well-man” — down a well during a military raid in central Norway in 1197.

It’s likely, according to the text, that raiders lobbed the body into the well to poison the main water source for locals, but little else is said about the man or who he was in the saga.
Researchers initially uncovered the bones in the castle’s well in 1938, but they were only able to carry out a visual analysis at the time. Now, scientists have an array of analytical techniques at their disposal, including genetic sequencing and radiocarbon dating.
A new study on the remains, published Friday in the Cell Press journal iScience, reveals unprecedented insights into Well-man’s appearance based on in-depth research on samples of his teeth.
“This is the first time that a person described in these historical texts has actually been found,” said study coauthor Michael D. Martin, a professor in the department of natural history at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology’s University Museum in Trondheim, in a statement.
“There are a lot of these medieval and ancient remains all around Europe, and they’re increasingly being studied using genomic methods.”
The findings not only shed fresh light on what Well-man looked like but also who he was, with a surprising twist about how he ended up in a Norse saga.
Tiny house with elaborate – and erotic – frescoes unearthed at Pompeii
kraken магазин
Archaeologists have uncovered a tiny house in Pompeii that is filled with elaborate – and sometimes erotic – frescoes, further revealing the ornate way in which Romans decorated their homes.
Situated in the central district of the ancient city, the house is smaller than normal and unusually lacks the open central courtyard – known as an atrium – that is typical of Roman architecture, the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, which oversees the site, said in a statement Thursday.

This change could have occurred due to shifting trends in Roman – and particularly Pompeian – society, during the first century AD, archaeologists said.
Pompeii was destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79 when its buildings and thousands of inhabitants were buried beneath layers of ash and pumice. This coating perfectly preserved the city for millennia, making it one of the most important archaeological sites in the world as it offers an unprecedented insight into Roman daily life.
This latest discovery spotlights the ornate decorations that rich Romans enjoyed in their homes – several frescoes depict mythical scenes and others are decorated with plant and animal motifs on a white background.
One small square painting set against a blue-painted wall depicts intercourse between a satyr and a nymph, while another shows Hippolytus, son of the mythical Greek king Theseus, and his stepmother Phaedra who fell in love with him before killing herself when he rejected her in disgust.
He served with the US Army in Iraq. Now he’s one of Asia’s top chefs and a Netflix ‘Culinary Class Wars’ judge

From a warzone in Iraq to a Michelin-starred kitchen and a hit Netflix show, chef Sung Anh’s path to the top of Asia’s fine dining scene has been anything but ordinary.
“Just like I did in the US Army, where I volunteered to go to the war, wanting to do something different — I decided to come here to Korea to try something different,” says the Korean-American chef and judge on hit reality cooking show “Culinary Class Wars,” which has just been green-lit for a second season.

Sung, 42, is the head chef and owner of South Korea’s only three-Michelin-starred restaurant, Mosu Seoul. In recent weeks, he has gained a new legion of fans as the meticulous and straight-talking judge on the new Netflix series. It’s this passion and unwavering drive to forge his own path that’s helped reshape fine dining in his birth home.
Born in Seoul, South Korea’s capital, Sung and his family emigrated to San Diego, California when he was 13.
“We were just a family from Korea, seeking the American Dream,” he says. “As an immigrant family, we didn’t really know English.”
As a teen growing up on the US West Coast, his mind couldn’t have been further from cooking.
“I went to school, got into college, but decided to join the US Army because that’s the only way I thought I could travel,” says the chef.
Over four years of service, he trained in bases across the country, before being deployed to his country of birth, South Korea and — following 9/11 — to the Middle East.

This teen became the youngest person to summit the world’s highest peaks. Now he wants others to follow in his footsteps
kra17.cc
Nima Rinji Sherpa’s ears are still tinged black from wind chill, an occupational hazard of climbing to heights where humans struggle to breathe, and where the weather can turn deadly in an instant.
This month, Nima became the youngest person to summit all 14 of the world’s highest peaks, but the 18-year-old Nepalese mountaineer is already getting ready for his next big feat.

Speaking to CNN via video call from the Nepali capital Kathmandu last week, Nima said he’s taking a couple weeks’ rest before preparing to climb the world’s eighth-highest mountain, Manaslu, with Italian mountaineer Simone Moro – in winter, alpine-style.
“That means we’re climbing an 8,000-meter mountain in winter… There’s no fixed ropes for us, there’s no (supplemental) oxygen for us, there is no support for us. So, it’s like pure human endurance,” Nima said. “It has never been done in the history of mountaineering.”
After that, “I’ll take some rest,” Nima laughed.
On October 9, Nima reached the top of the 8,027-meter (26,335-foot) Shishapangma along with his partner Pasang Nurbu Sherpa. For Nima, it was the final of the “eight-thousanders,” the 14 peaks recognized by the International Climbing and Mountaineering Federation as standing more than 8,000 meters above sea level.
Describing the moment of summiting the final peak as “pure joy,” Nima said his motivation comes from his family, many of whom are renowned mountaineers.
His father, Tashi Lakpa Sherpa, has climbed Everest nine times, and at age 19 became the youngest person to summit without bottled oxygen. His uncle Mingma Sherpa became the first South Asian climber to summit the 14 peaks in 2011.
“My uncles and my father, they are way more successful than I would ever be because they came from a very small village. To even dream about being this successful, for them it was really hard,” Nima said. “I have the privilege that they didn’t have.”

Scientists say skeletal remains found in castle well belong to figure from 800-year-old saga
kraken

Tiny house with elaborate – and erotic – frescoes unearthed at Pompeii
kraken вход
Archaeologists have uncovered a tiny house in Pompeii that is filled with elaborate – and sometimes erotic – frescoes, further revealing the ornate way in which Romans decorated their homes.
Situated in the central district of the ancient city, the house is smaller than normal and unusually lacks the open central courtyard – known as an atrium – that is typical of Roman architecture, the Archaeological Park of Pompeii, which oversees the site, said in a statement Thursday.
https://kra16f.cc

Medical staff on the front line of the battle against mpox in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo have told the BBC they are desperate for vaccines to arrive so they can stem the rate of new infections.
bs.gl
At a treatment centre in South Kivu province that the BBC visited in the epicentre of the outbreak, they say more patients are arriving every day – especially babies – and there is a shortage of essential equipment.
https://www.bst.gl
Mpox – formerly known as monkeypox – is a highly contagious disease and has killed at least 635 people in DR Congo this year.
Even though 200,000 vaccines, donated by the European Commission, were flown into the capital, Kinshasa, last week, they are yet to be transported across this vast country – and it could be several weeks before they reach South Kivu.
“We’ve learned from social media that the vaccine is already available,” Emmanuel Fikiri, a nurse working at the clinic that has been turned into a specialist centre to tackle the virus, told the BBC.
He said this was the first time he had treated patients with mpox and every day he feared catching it and passing it on to his own children – aged seven, five and one.
“You saw how I touched the patients because that’s my job as a nurse. So, we’re asking the government to help us by first giving us the vaccines.”
The reason it will take time to transport the vaccines is that they need to be stored at a precise temperature – below freezing – to maintain their potency, plus they need to be sent to rural areas of South Kivu, like Kamituga, Kavumu and Lwiro, where the outbreak is rife.
The lack of infrastructure and bad roads mean that helicopters could possibly be used to drop some of the vaccines, which will further drive up costs in a country that is already struggling financially.
At the community clinic, Dr Pacifique Karanzo appeared fatigued and downbeat having been rushed off his feet all morning.
Although he wore a face shield, I could see the sweat running down his face. He said he was saddened to see patients sharing beds.
“You will even see that the patients are sleeping on the floor,” he told me, clearly exasperated.
“The only support we have already had is a little medicine for the patients and water. As far as other challenges are concerned, there’s still no staff motivation.”

Groundbreaking telescope reveals first piece of new cosmic map
kra19.cc
Greetings, earthlings! I’m Jackie Wattles, and I’m thrilled to be a new name bringing awe to your inbox.
I’ve covered space exploration for nearly a decade at CNN, and there has never been a more exciting time to follow space and science discoveries. As researchers push forward to explore and understand the cosmos, advancements in technology are sparking rapid developments in rocketry, astronomical observatories and a multitude of scientific instruments.

Look no further than the missions racing to unlock dark matter and the mysterious force known as dark energy, both so named precisely because science has yet to explain these phenomena.
Astronomers have never detected dark matter, but they believe it makes up about 85% of the total matter in the universe. Meanwhile, the existence of dark energy helps researchers explain why the universe is expanding — and why that expansion is speeding up.
Extraordinary new scientific instruments are churning out trailblazing data, ready to reshape how scientists view the cosmos.
A prime example is the European Space Agency’s wide-angle Euclid telescope that launched in 2023 to investigate the riddles of dark energy and dark matter.
Euclid this week delivered the first piece of a cosmic map — containing about 100 million stars and galaxies — that will take six years to create.
These stunning 3D observations may help scientists see how dark matter warps light and curves space across galaxies.
Meanwhile, on a mountaintop in northern Chile, the US National Science Foundation and Stanford University researchers are preparing to power up the world’s largest digital camera inside the Vera C. Rubin Observatory.
Unearthed
In the mountains of Uzbekistan, a research team used lasers strapped to a flying robot to uncover two cities buried and lost for centuries.
The anthropologists said they had mapped these forgotten medieval towns for the first time — located at a key crossroad of ancient silk trade routes — using a drone equipped with LiDAR, or light detection and ranging equipment.
When nature reclaims what’s left of once thriving civilizations, scientists are increasingly turning to remote sensing to peer through dense vegetation.
The images revealed two large settlements dotted with watchtowers, fortresses, complex buildings, plazas and pathways that tens of thousands of people may have called home.
A ring found among the debris of Florida’s recent hurricanes awaits its owner
kraken tor
Scattered across Florida’s hurricane-ravaged communities are piles of debris, remnants of what were once homes. Cherished memories — photo albums, family heirlooms, and tokens of love — swallowed by floodwaters and carried miles away, are now reduced to mere fragments and discarded amid the wreckage.
But in one of these piles of lost memories, a small, inconspicuous velvet black box was discovered with a ring and a note that read: “I was 18 when my parents gave it to me.”
https://kra17c.cc
kraken магазин
Now, Joe Kovach, the engineer managing one of the debris sites in Tarpon Springs, Florida, where the box was found, is searching for its owner.
“Everyone has been basically dumping their entire lives onto the curb after the storm when everything flooded. My own boss’ house had 30 inches (of water) in it, and I saw his face and just how devastating it can be for everyone,” Kovach, an engineer with Pinellas County Public Works, told CNN.
“A lot of people in the community were really affected by these two storms, if there’s just a little bit I can do to give back, then that’s perfect.”
A contractor, who was gathering and condensing debris with an excavator, discovered the ring when he looked down and saw the box.
“This was a needle in a haystack for sure. For something like that to survive all that when everything else was so wet and saturated, that was kind of incredible,” Kovach said.
Although the ring was found after Hurricane Milton, Kovach is sure the treasure was initially lost amid the ruins of Hurricane Helene, based on the pile of debris it came from, which Pinellas County Public Works tracks. It is likely the owner of the ring is from Crystal Beach, Ozona, or Palm Harbor, Kovach said.
On Tuesday, after the contractor informed him about the ring, Kovach posted a photo of the box and the note on several local community Facebook pages, asking if it belonged to anyone. He did not include a photo or description of the ring to ensure it is returned to the rightful owner who can accurately describe it. On the inside lid of the box is a gold engraving with the jewelry brand, “The Danbury Mint.”
Europe’s secret season for travel starts now
kra19.cc
Summer might be the most popular season for tourism to Europe, but it hardly promises a calm, cool and collected experience.
Who can forget this summer’s protests against overtourism in Barcelona and Mallorca, the wildfires that raged across Greece during the country’s hottest June and July on record and selfie stoplights to help control crowds on the clogged streets of Rome and Florence?
For travelers looking to avoid all that — as well as break less of a sweat literally and financially — welcome to Europe’s secret season.

From roughly mid-October to mid-December, shoulder season for travel to Europe comes with fewer crowds, far more comfortable temperatures in places that skew scorching hot during the summer months and plunging prices on airfare and accommodation.
Plunging prices
“The cheapest time to fly to Europe is typically from about the middle point of October to the middle point of December,” said Hayley Berg, lead economist at travel platform Hopper. “Airfare prices during those eight or nine weeks or so will typically be about an average of 40% lower than prices in the peak of summer in June.”
Hopper’s data shows that airfare to Europe from the United States during the period between October 20 and December 8 is averaging between $560 and $630 per ticket — down 9% from this time last year and 5% compared to the same timeframe in 2019.

Europe’s secret season for travel starts now

Kate Winslet had a surprising ‘Titanic’ reunion while producing her latest film ‘Lee’

Kate Winslet is sharing an anecdote about a “wonderful” encounter she recently had with someone from her star-making blockbuster film “Titanic.”
The Oscar winner was a guest on “The Graham Norton Show” this week, where she discussed her new film “Lee,” in which she plays the fashion model-turned-war photographer Lee Miller from the World War II era.

Winslet recounted that while she had previously executive produced a number of her projects, “Lee” was the first movie where she served as a full-on producer. That required her involvement from “beginning to end,” including when the film was scored in post-production.
She explained to Norton that when she attended the recording of the film’s score in London, while looking at the 120-piece orchestra, she saw someone who looked mighty familiar to her.
“I’m looking at this violinist and I thought, ‘I know that face!’” she said.
At one point, other musicians in the orchestra pointed to him while mouthing, “It’s him!” to her, and it continued to nag at Winslet, prompting her to wonder, “Am I related to this person? Who is this person?”
Finally, at the end of the day, the “Reader” star went in to where the orchestra was to meet the mystery violinist, and she was delighted to realize he was one of the violinists who played on the ill-fated Titanic ocean liner as it sank in James Cameron’s classic 1997 film.
“It was that guy!” Winslet exclaimed this week, later adding, “it was just wonderful” to see him again.
“We had so many moments like that in the film, where people I’ve either worked with before, or really known for a long time, kind of grown up in the industry with, they just showed up for me, and it was incredible.”
“Lee” released in theaters in late September, and is available to rent or buy on AppleTV+ or Amazon Prime.
This small suburban school was named the world’s best new building

A humble suburban school in Australia has fended off competition from skyscrapers, museums and airport terminals to be named World Building of the Year 2024.
Darlington Public School, in the Sydney suburb of Chippendale, beat more than 220 other shortlisted designs to win the coveted annual prize at the World Architecture Festival in Singapore on Friday.

Opened last fall, the project combines an angular brick campus building, featuring a distinctive “sawtooth” roof, with landscaped outdoor spaces, including a large basketball court and a community garden. Softly curved metal screens surround a series of open-air terraces, allowing daylight to filter in while protecting students’ privacy.
A school had long been on the south Sydney site, though the old 1970s building was no longer fit for purpose, according to fjcstudio, the design firm behind the project. The Sydney-based architects said their new design had “radically transformed” the school to offer “new and contemporary learning environments,” though the project was intended to “capture the spirit” of the original campus.
Housing a preschool, kindergarten and primary school, the new campus will be able accommodate more than 500 students, according to the school’s website. A two-stage building process meant classes were able to continue throughout construction.
In its project description, fjcstudio said Darlington Public School had “strong connections to Aboriginal people.” The design firm said it helped preserve this cultural heritage by putting indigenous art in the school hall, entrance reception and classrooms. Aboriginal murals that had been painted on the old school’s walls were meanwhile reproduced in the new building’s cladding.
Speaking after Friday’s announcement, Alessandro Rossi, associate at fjcstudio, said: “It’s very humbling given the modest scale of the building — it’s a little school project, so to have won against all the other big projects at WAF is a testament to the client and the community engagement that helped drive the design process. The real winners are the children who will spend time in the building — a place of enrichment for many years to come.”

A seaman who fell off a cargo ship survived almost 20 hours at sea before being rescued off Australia’s southeastern coast on Friday, according to emergency services.
The man in his 30s drifted several kilometers in the open sea before he was pulled from the water by a recreational angler, local rescue authorities have said.
He had last been seen aboard Double Delight, a Singapore-flagged bulk carrier, at 11:30 p.m. on Thursday. Details on how he fell from the cargo ship are not immediately available.

The ambulance service in New South Wales state responded to reports that a seaman had been found at 6:20 p.m. Friday, a spokesperson said. They added that it came from Boatrowers Reserve, near Blacksmiths Beach south of the city of Newcastle.
“The patient, a man in his 30s, was conscious, breathing and alert when assessed by NSW Ambulance paramedics and treated for suspected hypothermia before he was transported to John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition,” NSW Ambulance said in a statement on Friday.
NSW Ambulance paramedic Erin Laughton told CNN’s affiliate 9News that the man was about three-and-a-half kilometers out to sea “waving his arm around” and “bobbing around in the water,” when he was found.
“He was wearing a life jacket, he was conscious, he was able to communicate with us, he was very cold, he was hypothermic and exhausted – he was absolutely exhausted,” she added.
The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) said local officials told them earlier in the day the sailor had reportedly gone overboard the previous evening, about 8 kilometers southeast of Newcastle.
The authority said it had deployed water police and marine rescue units for the rescue, as well as two sea vessels and two helicopters.
