Keep Moving in Set

Harmless has a great post up about the importance of moving forward while interacting in a set.

Harmless writes:
Always remember that you need to keep MOVING while you’re in set. Don’t just walk up, plant yourself in front of the set, and game them stuck in place like a tree. IT WILL SEEM WEIRD.

One thing that ALL good PUAs (and most naturals) do that is not mentioned is simply that they are ALWAYS MOVING while in set. Backturns, rocking out, WALKING AWAY, sitting down, moving the set aroun, etc.

Backturns:

TD pioneered the backturn, and it doesn’t seem to be too fashionable lately, but it’s still money. If you don’t know how to do it, check TD’s archive. If you still don’t understand, take his workshop. He does it ALL THE TIME. (At least, he used to.) Works best on all-girl group sets and lonewolves (ESPECIALLY 2sets, but then again… everything works especially well on female 2sets, lol)

Rocking Out:

This is so money. When you’re in set, switch between leaning in while DHVing and pushing (not LEANING IN as in TD’s 25 points, like with your head, but like moving your whole body forward so you command the attention of your set) and ROCKING OUT while negging, breaking rapport, and pulling. This works well on all sets

If anyone doesn’t understand this term, let me know.

Walking Away:

This is GOLD. Let girls know your WILLINGNESS TO WALK AWAY by.. WALKING AWAY. Turn and walk a few steps away, then look back over your shoulder like you remembered something and stack more material. Do this a few times, but not so that it becomes obvious, and they won’t feel pressured. This works best on all-girl group sets.

All of these tactics should have a similar effect to a False Time Constraint.

Sitting Down:

With seated sets, YOU MUST BE SITTING DOWN. Remember to use a FALSE TIME CONSTRAINT. Check TD archive for more info on seated sets.

Moving Sets Around:

Especially with smaller all-girl sets and lonewolves, make sure you are moving them around. If you see me in set with a lonewolf, within MINUTES (usually seconds) I am leading them around the venue, usually by the hand. Simply hold her arm with your hand, make some excuse, and start walking. She will follow you if you do it right. Or turn around and reach your hand out behind you.

Moving sets around “shakes the loose” like TD says, and is SUPER important to lock their attention in.

Sage advice from the TD school of thought. Though I think Mystery was the one who pioneered the revolutionary “backturn.” Oh how quick you young’ins forget. =)
