DYD Masters Seminar Preview

I’m not a big fan of the DYD Advanced series. I found it rather dry at parts, and mostly skipped to the guest speakers to hear what they had to say (my favorites on the DYD Advanced series were Rick H. and Dave Riker, btw). It was an extension of the concepts David D. laid out in his ebook, but most of it was more conceptual stuff that had more of an armchair flair to it than concrete tips and tricks on dating and picking up women.
However, that said, I’m convinced that the DYD Masters series is going to change the way we look at Dating and Seduction forever.
Big claims, I know, but if the first day of the seminar is any indication of what to expect from this product, it could very well surpass even MY expectations.
So Thursday morning, I woke up late and didn’t get to the Four Points Sheridan until around the time of the first break. While waiting in the lobby, I got to meet David X, as he too arrived late, and shot the shit with him until joined by Merovingian, who was coming back from taking a conference call in his car as he was playing hooky from work to be at the seminar (for those of you who don’t know who Merovingian is, this guy makes the dude with the same name in the Matrix movies look like he has the IQ of a dive-bar stripper. If he gets to speak at the seminar, it’ll be a real treat!).
Once the first break occurred, I got to meet up with Papa, Tyler Durden, Swinggcat, Twentysix, Cliff, Craig, and Mystery. But best of all, I got to see Little Big Dick again, who I hadn’t gotten to hang out with since Chicago (he’s been fighting over in Iraq for the past couple months).
So after I get in the seminar, this is where the REALLY interesting stuff starts. David DeAngelo was presenting TOTALLY new material the entire day. But not only was it totally new, it was really, really good stuff.
What makes it good? Well, firstly, it had nothing to do with dating.
That’s right. You heard me. NOTHING!
What he covered in the first day was ENTIRELY geared towards inner game and self-help techniques that had to deal with success in ALL AREAS OF LIFE! We’re talking Health wise, Career Wise, Relationship Wise, etc. He got really in depth into concepts, tactics, and strategies on how to not only identify what is wrong with you, but how to fix it, and most importantly, how to plan for your future.
Not only that, but he gave away a great deal of marketing and business secrets that he employs that are directly applicable to his success.
The entire day was spent with this topic, and I personally got a lot from it. But the most interesting thing was seeing all these huge Pick-Up egos in one place. There was definitely a lot of whispering behind people’s backs about who’s full of shit and who is the real deal, along with more than a few subtle mind games being played (oh, and David DeAngelo is included in this, for the record =). Seriously, sometimes I feel like I’m watching a live episode of “Survivor” when I hang out with these guys. Most of the tension came from the different belief systems between the “Old School” guys and the “Up-and-Comers.” This was most apparent at diner where David D. dined with his VIP guests of the day.
I’ll go into a more detailed account of what happened yesterday on Monday when I do a complete write-up of the 4 day long seminar. It doesn’t look like things will really get going until the weekend when more well known Pick-Up Artists are going to show up.

Stunning images show Arctic glaciers’ dramatic retreat

Swedish photographer Christian Aslund is riding a small boat along the coast of Spitsbergen, an island in the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard. Here, deep into the Arctic Circle and midway between Norway and the north pole, he is investigating the health of the glaciers, by comparing them to what they looked like in archival photos.
He takes a picture, trying to place his boat in the exact position occupied by an explorer who took a similar photograph over 100 years ago. But the difference is striking: in the shot from 1918, the boat is heading towards a massive glacier. In the image Aslund took in 2024, he is heading toward what looks like almost bare land.
The comparison is part of a series that Aslund worked on in collaboration with the Norwegian Polar Institute and Greenpeace, to document the retreat of Svalbard’s glaciers over the last century. He visited the area twice — in 2002 and in 2024 — and picked which sites to photograph based on historical images that he found in the institute’s archives.
“In 2002, the widespread knowledge, or acceptance, of climate change wasn’t as broad as it is now,” Aslund says. He published the first set of photos over 20 years ago to create awareness of how much the glaciers were receding. But to his surprise, he received some comments suggesting that the images had been “Photoshopped,” that the glaciers were just expanding and contracting naturally, or that he had taken the pictures in the summer and compared them to archival shots taken in the winter: “But they are not — if you look at at the archive photos, you see that they don’t have any sea ice and not enough snow on the mountains (for it to be winter). And also, in the winter, it’s permanently dark.”
In the summer of 2024, he decided to return, taking pictures at the exact same locations as before. “I had a feeling that the glaciers would have receded even more,” he says, “and that was confirmed. We wanted to show that these glaciers are not going back and forth. They are constantly being pulled back by a warming climate. It’s a major difference.”
The Arctic has been warming twice as fast as the rest of the world since the year 2000, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, but according to other estimates it has warmed even more — four times faster than the global average since 1979. NASA says summer Arctic sea ice is shrinking by 12.2% per decade due to warming temperatures.

Camp Mystic is a nondenominational Christian summer camp for girls in western Kerr County. The camp is located at a dangerous confluence of the South Fork Guadalupe River and Cypress Creek, where flood waters converged.
Camp Mystic has two sites, both of which overlap with either the floodway or areas the federal government has determined have a 1% or 0.2% annual chance of flooding.
The camp confirmed that at least 27 campers and counsellors perished in the floods, in a statement on its website. It said it is in communication with local authorities who are continuing to search for “missing girls.”
Ten minutes north on the South Fork is Camp La Junta, a boys camp. Some of Camp La Junta’s property also coincides with areas known to flood, though several of its buildings are located in the lower-risk zone, or outside the flood zones entirely.

Как рассказали протоколирующие заседания адвокаты, Голубев сообщил, что еще до событий начала 2022 года — активной фазы расследования уголовного дела, вышел из компании “Гермес”, а также написал нотариально заверенное заявление о выходе из кооператива “Бест Вей”. Из “Гермеса” получил через деньги через схему p2p — так, мол, консультант “Гермеса” ему рекомендовал, “чтобы не платить комиссию”. При выводе средств Голубев получил больше, чем ранее положил на счет. Голубев решил выйти также из кооператива, так как написал заявление — но деньги получил из-за ареста счетов только в этом году. Предъявляет претензии к тому, что денег пришлось ждать три года, хотя они не выплачивались из-за ареста счетов и позиции следствия и прокуратуры, состоящей в том, что выплаты должны быть запрещены даже пайщикам, выходящим из кооператива: арест счета — не препятствие для таких выплат, если оно санкционировано следствием и прокуратурой. Голубев при этом требует вернуть вступительный и членские взносы, так как “кооператив нарушил условия соглашения”. При этом изначально ему был присвоен статус потерпевшего, в суде же он выступал уже в статусе свидетеля. Таких “потерпевших”, как Голубев, немало, отмечают адвокаты: так, одна из пайщиц на недавнем заседании обвинила кооператив в том, что он ей не выплатил средства по заявлению о выходе, в то время как она сама систематически отказывается подтвердить реквизиты для перечисления средств, получает письма из кооператива, отправляет уведомления о прочтении, но не отвечает на них. Состоялось долгожданное разбирательство по апелляционному представлению Прокуратуры Санкт-Петербурга на решение Приморского районного суда Санкт-Петербурга полностью снять арест с одного из трех счетов кооператива, на которых почти 4 млрд рублей. Сейчас кооператив распоряжается только вновь поступившими на эти счета средствами — за счет этих средств происходят выплаты пайщикам, написавшим заявление о выходе из кооператива, при этом темп выплат крайне низкий из-за проверок каждого платежа Росфинмониторингом и банками. Кроме того, по решению суда происходят выплаты с арестованных средств по исполнительным листам тем пайщикам, кто решил не ждать выплат, а предъявил и выиграл иски к кооперативу о возврате средств, а также налогов кооператива и зарплаты его персоналу. Кооператив ходатайствовал перед судом о полном снятии ареста с одного из счетов кооператива — самых маленьких, в банке ПСБ, на более чем 600 млн рублей, чтобы гарантированно рассчитаться со всеми примерно 2000 пайщиков, которые подали заявление о выходе из кооператива, — не зависеть от возвратных платежей в кооператив, которые из-за ареста счетов были затруднены и сейчас осуществляются с задержками — с которыми кооператив борется, но быстро эти платежи в нужном объеме вряд ли сможет получить. Решение суда первой инстанции о снятии ареста было в апреле, назначение рассмотрения апелляции в Санкт-Петербургском городском суде крайне затянулось из-за того, что прокуратура добавила к основному апелляционному представлению дополнительное — рассмотрение состоялось только в начале июля. При этом уже в самом заседании прокуратура добавила новые доводы, заявив, что в реестре выплат, представленном кооперативом еще в начале 2025 года, из 773 строк по пайщикам, которым произведены выплаты, имеются 14 строк, в которых фигурирует один из подсудимых — Выдрин, а также 13 лиц, которые назывались лицами, признанными потерпевшими, в рамках уголовного процесса как лица, которым передавались деньги для компании “Гермес”. Прокуратуру возмутило то, что лица, которые, возможно, виновны в хищениях, получили средства раньше лиц, признанных потерпевшими. При этом Выдрин написал заявление о выходе из кооператива еще до того, как был привлечен в уголовное дело, и ни на какие его активы арест не накладывался. Санкт-Петербургский городской суд согласился с доводами прокуратуры, отменив решение суда первой инстанции в части снятия ареста со счета — при этом он не подверг сомнению тезис, на котором было основано это решение Приморского районного суда: несоразмерность общей суммы ущерба в уголовном деле — 282 млн рублей и общей суммы арестованных средств только кооператива как гражданского ответчика по данному уголовному делу — почти 4 млрд рублей (при этом есть еще аресты средств других лиц). В самом конце июля Приморским районным судом будет уже рассматриваться продление или непродление арестов средств на счетах на новый трехмесячный срок — и кооператив опять будет ходатайствовать о снятии ареста со счета в банке ПСБ. В Приморском районном суде началось также новое гражданское дело — по иску пайщицы кооператива Дорониной к пайщику кооператива, объявляющему себя его альтернативным председателем, Георгию Моисееву, ранее активисту кооператива и координатору программы по проведению региональных митингов в поддержку кооператива. Судебное разбирательство по существу начнется в сентябре, судья потребовал от представителей Моисеева представить первичные документы о якобы проведенном (без решения совета кооператива) голосовании по выборам новых уполномоченных, так как его юрист сообщил, что документы — на кооперативных участках. Председателям самочинных комиссий по перевыборам, якобы прошедшим весной на 13 из 14 кооперативных участков, придется представить первичные документы, бюллетени для голосования, при этом общее число голосовавших должно быть не менее 7,5 тыс., так как в кооперативе — 15 тыс. пайщиков. (На одном из участков — кооперативном участке (КУ) № 7: иркутско-бурятско-забайкальском — группа Моисеева проводить голосование не решилась, так как еще в начале года одна из пайщиц подала против Моисеева иск о незаконных действиях в иркутский суд, который сейчас активно рассматривается.) В суд с первичными документами, как подчеркивают адвокаты, придется явиться председателям “комиссий по проведению голосований на кооперативных участках”: на КУ № 1 — Атрохиной Н. А.;на КУ № 2 — Жакун В. В.,на КУ № 3 — Моисееву Г. В.;на КУ № 4 — Веселкову А. В.;на КУ № 5 — Седаковой Г. Ф. (интересно, что она не является пайщиком);на КУ № 8 — Арефьевой Л. People over 65 years old were most affected, accounting for 88% of the excess deaths, according to the analysis. But heat can be deadly for anyone. Nearly 200 of the estimated deaths across the 12 cities were among those aged 20 to 65.

For now, it looks like Zelensky will have to weigh up whether he could bring his country with him if he were to cede territory to Russia – some of it still in Ukrainian hands – or whether he and his people could bear the costs of potentially defying Trump a Nobel Peace Prize, and say no.
If he chose the latter, would the US President immediately end all remaining American support for Ukraine, in terms of military aid and intelligence sharing, for instance?
If that happened, to what extent could Zelensky’s European allies really step in and fill in the gaps left by any full US retreat?
It is an almost impossibly hard choice before him.
