What’s up with MINE’99?

Sieve put up a post on the off topic board.

Sieve writes:
Be it mASF or Cliff’s List, whenever I see MINE’99 these days he’s slamming some guy for not giving "proper credit" about the source of technical-sounding concepts like "fractionation", or whatever.

I can understand his feeling upset for not being credited, but he’s doing it so much I start to wonder, is it because ASF has gone sort-of-mainstream? That he is worried that the new guys will think that those fractionation stuff was invented by (TD, Iniose, whoever) instead of him, thereby decreasing his source of revenue?

Hey, wait a minute… this is a marketing ploy, isn’t it? Instead of debating about concepts, he can just spot whenever a guy says something that can be retrofitted/ascribed to BHSC/whatever, and says that he’s the originator. Sounds like a good way of doing promotion to me…
