So we got to see some boobies on network television this weekend. I didn’t even notice it when it happened, because at the time I was busy eating some good old fashioned Texas BBQ at Roadking’s place, along with Swinggcat, Adam the Natural, and a few exotic dancer friends of ours. It wasn’t until Mystery came over and forced Roadking to put his TiVo to good use that we got to see the whole pathetic event play out.
Frankly, I don’t see what the big deal is. You see much worse past 10:00 pm on Cinemax. We were all sitting around the TV watching Justin Timberlake rip the boddice off as Janet’s honkin’ hunk o’ skin flap bobbled out for a good 2.3 seconds of air time. It went so fast we were all like ”Huh?” It looked to me like she was wearing a pasti, so no one really gave it a second thought.
Here’s the facts as I see them: Janet, in a bid to out Madonna-and-Britney Madonna and Britney in light of her new album coming out this March, either orchestrates or agrees to a little so-called indecent exposure. Mr. Timberlake, eager to shed his own squeaky clean image, and one up his ex, is either put up for or volunteers to be the bodice ripper. And CBS, worried about a lack-luster superbowl with 2 teams no one really cares about, agrees in order to stir up interest. So off they go on their merry little way, do their performance, and – dear God! – dare to show tit, which most kids become intimately familiar with as babies, and nipple, which dominates daytime television with the vast amount of shirtless bohunks that rule the soaps.
Now I hear that the FCC is doing an investigation into the incident, that CBS ”didn’t know” (they obviously did), and that parent’s across the country are outraged that their little kids were exposed to prime-time boobage.
It’s no wonder Europeans laugh at us when it comes to sex.
And it’s no wonder why the seduction community is such a necessary entity in this world. I really fucking hate the fact that there are probably untold numbers of little boys out there who saw this on TV, and their parents are making them feel guilty for seeing it, saying things like ”You shouldn’t have seen that,” or ”It’s a bad, dirty, naughty thing you saw!” Even worse, I feel for the untold number of little girls who are made to feel bad about having boobs. Who know’s how many parents called Janet Jackson a slut or accused her of causing society’s downfall. It’s no wonder we, as Americans, are so fucked up about sexuality with shit like this going down.
If anything, there should be more boobs on TV. Sex shouldn’t be a bad thing to expose kids to. It’s probably one of the greatest things someone can experience in this world, so why are we made to feel bad about it? Why is it such an outrage? This whole culture is fucked up bass-ackwards when it comes to sex, IMO.
If you ask me, the real outrage was P. Ditty’s butchering of the Toni Basil classic ”Hey Mickey.” Am I the only one who cares about the sanctity of 80′s pop music?

PS: I was able to catch both the Surreal Life and Survivor after the Superbowl. Both shows have a lot to teach about persuasion, influence, and how to deal with women. Next time they’re on, pay attention to how Richard Hatch handles himself in Survivor, and how Ron Jeremy deals with women in the Surreal Life. Both are great. =)

“They attach great importance to the national security of their country, but look at our national security through tinted spectacles, especially the current situation in Hong Kong,” she added.
The ability of Washington to influence Beijing’s position on Hong Kong – which is in part founded on fear of outside influence in the city – was already severely limited. The Trump administration’s reaction to protests at home may have hurt its position even further.

Extreme heat is a killer and its impact is becoming far, far deadlier as the human-caused climate crisis supercharges temperatures, according to a new study, which estimates global warming tripled the number of deaths in the recent European heat wave.
For more than a week, temperatures in many parts of Europe spiked above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Tourist attractions closed, wildfires ripped through several countries, and people struggled to cope on a continent where air conditioning is rare.

The outcome was deadly. Thousands of people are estimated to have lost their lives, according to a first-of-its-kind rapid analysis study published Wednesday.
A team of researchers, led by Imperial College London and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, looked at 10 days of extreme heat between June 23 and July 2 across 12 European cities, including London, Paris, Athens, Madrid and Rome.
They used historical weather data to calculate how intense the heat would have been if humans had not burned fossil fuels and warmed the world by 1.3 degrees Celsius. They found climate change made Europe’s heat wave 1 to 4 degrees Celsius (1.8 to 7.2 Fahrenheit) hotter.
The scientists then used research on the relationship between heat and daily deaths to estimate how many people lost their lives.
They found approximately 2,300 people died during ten days of heat across the 12 cities, around 1,500 more than would have died in a world without climate change. In other words, global heating was responsible for 65% of the total death toll.
“The results show how relatively small increases in the hottest temperatures can trigger huge surges in death,” the study authors wrote.
Heat has a particularly pernicious impact on people with underlying health conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes and respiratory problems.
People over 65 years old were most affected, accounting for 88% of the excess deaths, according to the analysis. But heat can be deadly for anyone. Nearly 200 of the estimated deaths across the 12 cities were among those aged 20 to 65.
Climate change was responsible for the vast majority of heat deaths in some cities. In Madrid, it accounted for about 90% of estimated heat wave deaths, the analysis found.

Winslet recounted that while she had previously executive produced a number of her projects, “Lee” was the first movie where she served as a full-on producer. That required her involvement from “beginning to end,” including when the film was scored in post-production.
She explained to Norton that when she attended the recording of the film’s score in London, while looking at the 120-piece orchestra, she saw someone who looked mighty familiar to her.
“I’m looking at this violinist and I thought, ‘I know that face!’” she said.
At one point, other musicians in the orchestra pointed to him while mouthing, “It’s him!” to her, and it continued to nag at Winslet, prompting her to wonder, “Am I related to this person? Who is this person?”
Finally, at the end of the day, the “Reader” star went in to where the orchestra was to meet the mystery violinist, and she was delighted to realize he was one of the violinists who played on the ill-fated Titanic ocean liner as it sank in James Cameron’s classic 1997 film.
“It was that guy!” Winslet exclaimed this week, later adding, “it was just wonderful” to see him again.
“We had so many moments like that in the film, where people I’ve either worked with before, or really known for a long time, kind of grown up in the industry with, they just showed up for me, and it was incredible.”
“Lee” released in theaters in late September, and is available to rent or buy on AppleTV+ or Amazon Prime.
