There’s a book that’s been out for a while now called "Build Attraction Secrets: The Foundations For Attraction," and it was written by my buddy The One (aka Cameron Teone).
I only recently got a copy of the book, and haven’t really had a chance to read it all the way through yet (I’ll be sure to post a full review on the site when I get a chance), but it did get me to thinking about something…
Cameron’s book — which I’ll admit, is pretty darn good — centers a great deal on "inner game" and laying the groundwork for self-improvement that will increase your success with women.
And I can’t stress enough how important YOU are in the PUA equation.
When it comes down to it, YOU are the one thing that is going to attract a woman. You can do as many patterns, routines, DHVs, or whatevers you want. But at some point, the bag of tricks run dry and all you have to work with is yourself.
What do you do then?
There are so many factors to improving your own mentality and beliefs when it comes to success with women. I had a fantastic evening with a woman just last night, and believe me, this girl was very attractive. Me, I’m an overweight dude, I don’t think I’m all that good looking, and my hair is getting a little thin on top (that’s for all you flamers out there. I just know how much you love to call me names that somehow rhyme with my physical flaws! =), and there’s still a part of me that feels I don’t deserve to be with a woman as attractive as she was.
So what did I do? I actually brought it up! We started talking about attraction and various other things, and she told me some very interesting things that only reinforce what I know to be true, but still have a hard time accepting.
She told me that so many guys come up to her pretending to be rich to try and get her to date them, and how lame she thinks that is. She told me that lots of her former boyfriends were poor, and how she tends to date "average guys" because she finds the good looking ones are all boring and have no personality.
And the funny thing is: Almost all girls think this way!
Just because you’re not a great looking guy doesn’t mean you can’t be with an attractive girl. And one of the things I really love about Cameron’s book is that he nails this concept on the head.
Building real attraction comes down to:
- Beliefs
- Self-Esteem
- Courage to try new things
- The ability to learn from failure
- A willingness to let the good in you shine through
Once upon a time, Mystery pioneered something which I’ve found to be incredibly useful, and which tends to go very un-discussed in this community, and that is the concept of having a CHARACTER.
Characters are attractive to people. All the best books, movies, and TV shows are based around characters people can fall in love with. Just watch an episode of American Idol one night, and you’ll find yourself rooting for the people with the most character to them.
Mystery’s concept was to invent a character you could become. And while I think there’s value to that, I feel that everyone is already a character, and they just need to display it.
I’m not a special guy, but there are things about my personality that shine through, and I’ve learned to display that.

Where Mystery really got his ideas from…
Dating Insider was one of the first dating ebooks ever sold on the internet dating back to 1998, since then many writers, such as Mystery have stolen ideas from the book and then used them almost word for word, without giving Dating Insider credit as being the source. For example:
In DIBook, first paragraph of Chapter 5, page 73 “your hormones take over and @#%$ everything up”.
Mystery, as quoted in “The Game” plagiarises this on
Page 19 (bottom).. “All your emotions are going to try to @#%$ you up”
As this is the very first quote by Mystery we catch, all the rest are easily matched from DIBook:
Page 20 (middle) “Find, Meet, Attract, Close”
DIBook: Chapter ‘Science / Picking Up Women’ Page 130 bottom to 131 top
Page 21 (middle) “Smile when you enter a room. As soon as you walk in a club, the game is on. And by smiling, you look like you’re together, you’re fun, and you’re somebody”
DIBook: Chapter ‘How to Be a Player’ Page 54 second paragraph, then continue down the entire page
Page 22 (middle top) ” If you look average, you’re going to get average girls”.
DIBook: Chapter ‘How to Be a Player’ page 65, bottom “Average looking girls with low self-esteem tend to end up with average guys.”
Page 37: “If the setting or circumstances aren’t conducive to physical intimacy, then give yourself a time constraint by saying “I have to go, but we should continue this.” Then get her number and leave.
DIBook: Chapter ‘ How to Be a Player’ page 51, middle “Mikey lets her talk… He jots down her phone number and then boogies. Get in and Get Out!”
Page 59: Picking up women, I realized, was a lot like stand up comedy or any other performing art.
DIBook: Chapter ‘Science / Picking Up Women page 131, bottom paragraph
what really stands out is much of Mystery’s ‘sermon’ on page 21, 22, and 37 of the book rolls straight from DIBook chapter 2 (which was published five years prior)
Why don’t you invite Mystery to email our publisher, Kent Wilson, so they can talk about this?

It seems to me that alot of the community members would have been better served with some kind of therapy than with worshipping retards who pull 10′s and than go home crying!

I can understand what you are saying, but don’t you think it’d be more fair to read the book BEFORE saying you don’t endorse it?
If I were going to advise guys to just “Be Confident”, then the book would have been about 2 pages long. What I advise guys who seek advice in this area is to enhance their attributes and increase their skills in certain areas.
This is regardless of whether they buy my ebook or anyone else’s.
There are Certain traits that almost all successful “PUAs” share; (Tonality, story telling, playfulness, conversational skills, ability to calibrate, just to name a few.) IMO, elaborate tactics won’t help guys who don’t have the proper attributes internalized.

I have yet to meet anyone who can validate The One’s game. When he was with RSD, many of his students complained that he stood around and flexed instead of sarging.
While he was with Fidentia, the same was said.
It is hard to understand why so many assholes are making $$$$ off of PUA but they can’t even open women. TC and the One should start an Ebook of the month club. They have plenty of time on there hands.

the profile is not a fake one, he also had quickwit73 but he lost the passwords to both of the profiles so he made up a new profile, he also had another profile maverick_one_artist on yahoo which he used for the mysterymethod member forum.
mysterymethod lounge members from 2004 can confirm this as he was the gatekeeper, we had to apply for our memberships by writing cameron.

Desensitize Yourself to Rejection in the Approach with Women
Love hurts and so does rejection but it’s worth it.
God, I hate it when I get rejected. Yes even the world’s greatest pick up artist hates to get rejected. It makes you feel like shit, but you have to desensitize yourself to rejection.
Every no brings you that much closer to a yes. When you have Elvis Presley attraction like I have it is like a slap on the face and a kick in the balls to get rejected and some women with their bitch shield up can drop a man unmercifully to his knees.
If you have to hit on 100 women to get one, just do it. I will admit my closing rate is on the high side in comparison to the number of women that I approach.
I have to remind myself that occasionally I am going to get rejected. So what. Get over it and get over it fast. Next. If you want tons of girls in the sack talk to tons and tons of hot babes.
Approaching tons of women will teach you that being rejected isn’t embarrassing or demoralizing unless you believe it to be.
It is essential that you experience rejection. I know that you don’t like it, get over it and get laid.
Don’t let her hurt you twice. First when she rejects you and twice when she destroys your confidence and desire to approach more women.
