Analyze the Player, not the Game

NightBlue put up a pretty interesting post in the Advanced forum of mASF about how people need to pick the style that’s best for them based on the people who invented it.

This is mainly for the people who get confused b/c of the different styles/ methods aspects and need to find and create their own style.

Like said, if you want to see the qualities of a method you need to analyze the inventor of the method. To see why it works so good for the guy who came up with it. Then you know why it works and what can work for you. I’ll give some examples.

First off, everyone uses the style that works for them.
Mystery doesnt need too much C&F and can go for rapport after a short time of DHV.
Mostly b/c of his ‘ultra humanness’.
People who met him know. For those who havent, he looks above normal reality. He did a good job mixing his style, looks and aura.
But not everyone can do what he does with success.
Try wearing superhigh leather boots, while already being very above average height – Having black nails and wearing the craziest clothes to add the finishing touch.

Thats why his main thing is Social proof.
B/c if there werent hotties around him, and if he wasnt all low key, people would think he’s a freak.
So when people see him they automatically think its cool to look/act like that. So he gets AIs and IOIs a lot.

TD OTOH, has become a pu robot, pretty good one too.
filled with well thought of material, that elicit the right emotions at the right time. Just plows HBs with material and kind of hypnotizing them.
At the first minutes of the sarge, he just runs his routines while mostly (sometimes completely) ignoring what chycks say.
That works for him. I didnt even know what the underlying structure was which worked so great, until I read his post about How to be the prize, Buying Temperature spikes etc.
He cant use Mystery’s style, since it wouldnt fit with his aura/type.
Neither can mystery use his badboy collegeguy style.

To give a good example, Sickboy.
His post about focus on interaction, somewhere under this one is good for everyone.
He’s not a pu robot, although he uses a lot of material.
Was thinking of what makes his style so normal and yet solid.
Then I read his post about focus on the interaction.
Thats why he’s so genuine in the sarges.
He acts like naturals. Showing interest, going for rapport.
All good. It looks very natural and charming b/c of the right timing and his geniune interest.
To add he has fairly good looks. (Really good looks, when we were sarging in Europe this girl couldnt decide which one of us looked better. So Really really good looks
Value in looks gives you a head start. So it helps a lot to upgrade yours as much as you can.

Still he can get blown out, just like TD and mystery.
That was one of the first best things I learned btw.
If these guys get blown out, its completely normal.
Nothing personal.

Havent seen Gunwitch PU, so I cant comment much on that.
But from what Ive read his main thing is showing sexuality.
Good advice – for end game.
I wouldnt advise to go sexual to begin with, unless youre weeding out the non-fools mates.

Nor did I have a chance to see MINE’99 in field.
But it was obvious after talking to him that he uses a style which brings out his best sides like the others.
Like intellect and calibrating at each social interaction.

Final thought would be, dont waste youre time being confused of which method to use.
Dont pick just one and use it all the time.
It might hold you back from developing solid game.
First after going with the basics like inner game, body language and tonality, field experience will show you what your best sides are.
Then you can upgrade those, mix it with the parts of the other styles that work for you and there, your own method.

Good stuff in here. I think a lot of guys sort-of stumble when they first start adapting someone elses style, and don’t really hit their stride until they sort-of adapt what their using to suit them based on their experiences. The more I go out and interact with women, the more I find that I abandon some of what I was taught and develop my own take on it, and in a way, that’s where I see the most results.
