Mystery Goes Mainstream

Well, it seems Ross isn’t the only one who got a lot of attention from the New York Times article. Apparently, Mystery has been bombarded with a slew of offers from pretty much every major news magazine on TV. He has been approached to be on Good Morning America, 20/20, and Primetime to name a few. He’s approaching most of these shows with caution, mostly because he seems to know that they are going to try and paint him in the worst possible light they can.
Not only that, but Mystery has been courted by two MAJOR stations to have his own show. The producer’s of FOX’s American Idol have contacted Mystery and are in serious talks to give him his own special, though the format of the show is unknown at this time. Likewise, VH1 has also contacted Mystery, but with a more concrete offer. In fact, they are flying him out to New York to meet with the VH1 brass about the nature of the show. I’m told that it is probably going to be a series where Mystery takes a bunch of hopeless AFCs and turns them into real ladies men — a type of ”Straight Eye for the Pathetic Guy” type scenereo. MTV did this type of show with David Wygan, but it apparently didn’t do too well, mostly because it was more of a make-over show than anything else. According to Mystery, the VH1 show would be much more about teaching guys the Art of PUA than simply giving them a new haircut and super-uber peacocking gear.
Not only does Hollywood seem to be courting him, but Mystery’s seminar/workshop business has also seemed to have benefitted from the article. I met with Mystery this weekend after a workshop which he deemed very successful. I’m also told that his personal one-on-one workshops are also becoming quite popular, which is probably the impetus for his VH1 series, should it go through.
************(name removed) is also doing his part to help keep the gravy train rolling by introducing Mystery to a number of entertainment industry big-wigs, as well as getting him in the door at the William Morris Agency, which could end up representing him. Couple all this with the fact that Mystery is now writing a book — which now stands a good chance to be picked up by a major publisher — and 2004 could be the year for Erik von Markovik.
Also, new video footage of Mystery has popped up on the net. It’s a fairly short 3 minute piece of Mystery doing a monologue on Sunset Blvd. Maybe a precursor of things to come? Or more likely a promotional tool? Perhaps a bit of both? I guess we’ll see. You can view it here.

Does anybody know where I can download the realworldseduction e-book? I tried to buy and download the book but when I got to the confirmation page to download the book it did not work. I was then emailed an invoice by someone named Arlene Seltzer. After several complaints of receiving no service and no book , I felt ripped off. I filed a claim with paypal and luckily I got my money back.
But I am still puzzled as to why Swinggcat’s site is so weird and why I can’t get a copy of the real book. I don’t even know if Swinggcat is actually aware of the problem. Anyways it seems to fishy to even trust the site, but I’ve heard great things about the book and would love to buy it, but I guess if I can’t get proper service it is all a big scam.

Swinggcat is a rip off artist. He should not be trusted. He takes your money, delivers an inferior product, and then does not honor the guaranted.

I’m having the same experience as Sean. Redirected to an error page after payment, no download link in the confirmation email. Autoresponder or bounce messages because mailbox is full, in response to attempts to contact the vendor. Fergeddit. Going to Paypal for a refund!

I went through the exact same process you went through. It said on his website that as soon as you pay for his e-book you will be able to download it ‘immediately’ straight after your transaction. Well, all I got was an automated e-mail response saying: “Thank you for your order. I will get back to you ASAP.” After one week got nothing. So I sent a few complaint e-mails to his e-mail address. Still no reply. So, right then and there I knew it must be a scam so I filed a complaint with Paypal. Thankfully, I got my money refunded back today. As for this Swingcat or Arlene Seltzer guy, his website should be taken down from the net and he should be charged for ripping people off. He is just some low-life con-artist. And, don’t believe all the testimonials he has got on his webpage or in his newsletters, they are all made up stories.
Anyway, just get out there and do your thing and don’t worry about all these so-called “Real world seduction” manuals. Every woman is different and this shit doesn’t work when you try it on ‘intelligent’ women. Anyway, good luck!

I have been ripped off by Swinggcat, too, but not as bad as some of the others. At least I got the course. But I never got the bonus I was promised for signing up. I conpained about it, said I was considering sending the course back, but wouldn’t send it back if I got the bonus material. After six or seven more emails, with no response, I finally a really stupid message back from some woman named Krystal who said she hadn’t gotten but one email from me, didn’t understand what I wanted. I told her again, then she responded that she thought I was angry and wanted to return the course. Again, I told her I wouldn’t return the course if I got my promised bonus material. She passed it on to Swinggcat, who got back with a terse message saying the bonus material would be sent shorty. It never was. The 30 day period passed, I’ve been billed twice now, and I’ve sent that asshole a total of 14 emails now. I’m going to post about this everywhere I can.
