Well, the latest issue of Cliff’s List came out, saying that here had been difficulty with the e-mail system before so some people missed the last couple of issues, but Cliff claims he has switched to a new software that should take care of the problem. However, I STILL did not recieve the latest issue. It had to be e-mailed to me by a friend. And this is important because the latest issue of Cliff’s List had a pretty heartwrenching post in it that should be seen by as many people as possible, so I’m reposting much of it here on the blog.
Basically, we all know about the horrible fires down in Sand Diego a while back. I know we here in California were greatly concerned about the whole ordeal. Us in LA were lucky enough to get by unscathed, but it seems that not everyone in the community came out as good as we did.
Steve Piccus, an extraordinarily talented and gifted hypnotist and renaissance man, who some of the greats such as Rick H., David DeAngelo, and many others have learned enormous amounts from, has suffered a serious setback due to the San Diego fires. Apparently, the fires practically burned a circle around Steve’s place and it seems that only luck prevented him and everything he has from being completely destroyed. It has also decimated his personal consulting/hypnosis/treatment business as his clients dissipated after what happened.

I’m going to be in San Diego for the weekend of February 20-22, 2004 to do a three-day gig to raise money, to help a friend. I’ll be teaching what might be best described as a Marknosis Sampler — key lessons and techniques from three of our most popular seminars. The First Dating ReEnhanced Workshop

I had a talk with Harmless last night, who’s currently crashing at Formhandle’s place up in Boston where the first ever Dating ReEnhanced Workshop is being held. Harmless sounded excited and in good spirits. Apparently, Formhandle has a REALLY nice place up in New England, so even the snow couldn’t damper Harmless’s excitement. He told me that the first night of the workshop (which was on Thursday) went off very well, the only sticking point being that the venue they chose to hold the workshop in was a little too lound. I was told the students who attended still approached and seemed to have gotten a lot out of it. I look forward to getting a few field reports from the workshop that I can post here on the blog.
Harmless also told me of a bookstore sarge he did before the workshop started, and also let it slip that Formhandle not only has a stripper FB, but was angling to get a possible 3-some going with one of her friends. You go, Formie! Wa-wa-wa…

PLAY List meeting 2/1/04

There will be a meeting of the LA Lair (Players Los Angeles Yahoo) this coming Sunday at the Project Hollywood mansion. Originally, Sickboy — of of TD’s regular wingmen — was supposed to be the guest speaker, but it looks like he is unable to make it. Instead, Sandman from Mystery’s Lounge will be gracing the west coast with an appearance. Here’s the official word from Papa:
Due to a scheduling issue, Sickboy is unable to attend the Sunday meeting; therefore, the LA List has brought down a special guest that has flown in from London to do a presentation on the art of opening. Our special guest is Igor Ledochowski (aka Sandman of Mystery’s Lounge), who has taught workshops on opening and pickup in Europe. He has attended workshops by Mystery, Badboy, Juggler, Tyler, and I in Europe, and assists with students at Real Social Dynamics programs. He will be teaching Badboy, Tyler, and I at as our NLP Certification Coach for our official NLP Practitioner’s licensing in London at his August course in London.
We will be meeting at the Project Hollywood Mansion this Sunday afternoon at 3:30pm. Attendance is free. Parking is available at Sunset Plaza. Ring the buzzer at the gate and you will be let in. If you have trouble finding us, contact me.

Mystery Sex Magic

This weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting up with some of the best pick-up artists in the world (all of which happen to live in LA, as luck would have it! =) On Sunday night, I was joined by Mystery and his current roommate Herbal from Project Hollywood at Roadking’s appartment for a night of Salt-Lick Barbeque flown out specially from Austin Texas, home of the best BBQ I’ve ever had.
It had been a while since I’d hung out with Mystery, so I was excited to see him again. I knew he was going through a bit of a tough time with the NYT article, so when he showed up I was pleased that he was in good spirits. While Roadking was finishing up cooking the BBQ however, Mystery took the opportunity to scold me for channeling Ray Gordon with my ”conspiracy theory” rants on the blog concerning the NYT article. I then threatened not to invite him to any more Barbeques if he kept acting like my mother, and that was the end of that. We got down to eating and catching up on what everyone had been up to since we last met.
One thing I have to say about Mystery, the guy is probably one of the most charismatic people I know. He just radiates a fun energy that can be infectious, and I always have a good time hanging out with the guy. It’s obvious why girls go for him, he’s just entertaining as fuck. Of course, the whole time I was with him, I couldn’t help thinking about the time TheOne did his ”Mystery” impression for me, so I had to keep from laughing at some points.
During the course of diner, Mystery was explaining some of the new theories he’s developing with Roadking, Herbal, and I. It was a very cool experience, listening to what has to be some of the most cutting edge stuff when it comes to Pick-Up that’s out there. The first thing he talked about was his theory behind attraction, and the different things that attract the opposite sexes in nature. For instance, he divides attraction into two categories — Male to Female attraction, and Female to Male attraction.
Male to Female attraction (M->F) has to do mostly with visual cues that attract men to a women, things such as breast size, hip-to-waist ratio, hair color and sheen, ass, legs, and face. Basically, the fundamental things that initially attract a man to a woman.
The next part was a little more complicated and a category Mystery is still trying to dissect. He engaged Roadking, Herbal, and I in a discussion about mechanisms that attract Females to Males (F->M). His initial theory was that there were 7 ”switches” that men can manipulate to create incredible attraction in women. We discussed the subject for a long time while eating, and had a great many good ideas and theories on the subject. Roadking probably took it the farthest of all of us, and I think Mystery got a lot of good insite to chew on. During this conversation, it also dawned on me the fundamental difference between a guru like Mystery and some of the other gurus out there. That’s the fact that Mystery genuinely wants to hear other people’s thoughts and will incorporate them into his method as opposed to acting like a scared little baby due to the ”competition.”
But the highlight of the evening was when Mystery whipped out his laptop and gave me a sneak peak at the book that he’s writing, tentatively titled Mystery’s Sex Magic. All I have to say is — WOW! I was incredibly impressed at what I saw.
My previous information where I reported that Mystery was finished or close to finished with the book was wrong. He is currenly only around 40 pages in. I was correct, however, in saying that he has simplified his method to a more manageable 3 Step method called M3, which consists of the steps: Attract, Build Comfort, and Seduce. The book then goes on to explain each step in detail, and the pitfalls of doing them out of order, which I found to be incredibly interesting because it ran the gammut of how every guy presents themselves to women.
The second half of the book is going to deal with with Mystery’s extraction model, which is pretty much a roadmap of how a pick-up should go within Mystery Method, covering Isolation, Extraction, and the Bridge. Mystery had illustrated this model to me a few months ago when he was just developing it, and he plans to use the same model for his book and go in depth into it.
One thing I really liked about the book, and it’s something that I haven’t seen in any other seduction product to date, is that it is fully illustrated with diagrams that break down Mystery’s model of seduction. The book itself comes off as a very scientific textbook for pick-up and seduction theory. It very much reminds me of a few of the manuals I had to buy for physics class in college, only a little easier to read. If this is any indication of what Mystery is going to be teaching at his seminars, I’m very interested in attending one.
The night ended with a trip to the Project Hollywood mansion, where Mystery, Herbal, Papa, Style, and another PUA named Playboy are living. I was quite impressed with the place, which used to be Dean Martin’s home. It definitely had that Rat Pack feel with a great pool/hot tub in the back patio, and lots of free standing bars. Papa tells me they plan to start throwing house parties in the next couple of weeks. Those should be interesting, to put it mildly.
I’ll keep you updated on the progress of the book as I learn more information. One thing is for sure, once Mystery gets this sucker done, the face of the seduction market is going to change.

I like the new incarnation, because it looks like more thought was put into it, and it’s a little less like the ”Double Your Dating” style he had going before. Speed Seduction LA ’04 Seminar

Well, the annual Los Angeles Speed Seduction seminar has come and gone, and I’ve heard from a number of sources that it was a fairly mediocre event. Apparently, there were between 30 and 40 people there, only half of which were paying customers. I was told most of the new material focused around SRT (Signal Recognition Technology… or something) and 3D Mind, with a bit of Psychic Influence stuff thrown in there. Seminar attendees included Tom & Kim (of course), Papa, Herbal, and a surprize visit by Mystery. It should be noted that Ross conducted a mini-seminar for the LA Lair at the Project Hollywood Mansion, so he was probably returning the favor by having these guys come by as guests. Over-all, the impressions I’ve heard have been fairly disappointing as SS continues to be outdistanced by some of the more effective pick-up and seduction techniques out there, which probably explains Ross’s recent attacks on Tyler Durden.
One thing I have heard from a number of people in resounding unison is that Riker’s Workshop was very good. Apparently, it consists mostly of field reports Riker does commentary and analysis for, along with actual audio of sarges he’s conducted, along with commentary. I’ll be looking forward to hearing more about Riker and his endeavors into the field of professional seduction. I’m also concerned about his relationship with Ross, since his mini-workshop seems to have outshined Ross’s seminar. Ross isn’t exactly known to take too well to competition, even if it’s from a ”friend.”
I’d also like to point out that this is NOT first hand knowledge on my part. I was not at either event. This is simply what I’ve pieced together from a variety of sources. If anyone has a different perspective they’d like to share, please reply to this blog.
As you know, I don’t like Ross Jeffries. I think the guy is a loser. But despite the fact that he is a miserable excuse for a human being, Speed Seduction does have SOME merrit to it (mostly because its rooted in NLP because its a legitimate science).

Seems Harmless got off his lazy ass and redesigned the Dating ReEnhanced website (which is good, because frankly, the site needed it!). But I can’t help but be a bit pissed off, because I REDESIGNED MY WEBSITE FIRST!!!!! HE’S COPYING ME!!!!!!!! I was the first to give my website a facelift, and now everyone else is doing it. They’re all thieves! Dirty, rotten thieves!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There will be a PLAY (Players Los Angeles Yahoo) List Meeting this Tuesday with the creator of Speed Seduction, Ross Jeffries, who will be hosting a seminar in LA next weekend. It’s this Tuesday, Jan. 20th, at 7:30pm at the Project Hollywood Playhouse off of the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood.
This is pretty exciting. I like what Papa is doing with the PLAY list, trying to get it actively going with guest speakers and the like. I guess its similar to what Marco does in the New York Lair. Not only that, but it’s being held in the Project Hollywood house, home of Mystery, Papa, Herbal, and Style (the most powerful of the Jedi). Not only will Ross Jeffries, the godfather of the community, be there in person, but it’s free and open to anyone who’s a member of the list. That’s a great deal, no matter how you cut it.
Don’t expect to be seeing me there, however. As much as I’d like to attend, I’ve been sumarilly Kicked and Banned by Ross Jeffries from all SS related events, which I guess this can be considered since it’s mostly gonna be him hocking his seminar. I could go since I’m in good with the PH crew, but it’s not really worth the trouble it would cause.
I would like to say that if you’re worried about attending because of Ross, don’t be. Yes, Ross does have a reputation of being a bit of an ass hole to his students and those he looks at as being below him (which some would say is everybody). Many people have horror stories about how Ross has treated them poorly. I know that when I first met him at the hypnotist’s Vince Kelvin’s mini-seminar at which he was a guest speaker, he was fairly rude to me. But once I got to know him outside of the seminar invironment where he doesn’t have to be a ”guru” and stuff, he’s a pretty cool guy with a lot of interesting things to talk about. So I would say that despite his rep, it’s well worth going to because Ross is a pretty smart guy with a few good things to talk about.
If you do see him at the meeting, be sure to tell him that despite it all, Thundercat still thinks he’s a shining example of genetic perfection.

The Lair gets a Face Lift

Yes, yes, like the freshly divorced wife of a man making upwards of six-figures a year, the blog has recieved a face lift. I was getting tired of the fairly dark and gloomy design, with lots of blues and greys, so I’ve decided to re-design the blog to make it look a little more professional, a little more sophisticated, and a little more streamlined. New Logo, new headers, new colors, and some new Headz are on the way.
