BG has a post up on his blog where he takes a rather critical look at some of the teachings in the Double Your Dating ebook…

That’s rapport! Staying on C&F is just lame and can come across as:
insecure, ‘too cool for her’ (over-qualification), or coming across as
a jerk who’s actually not interested in her. C&F can blow you out.- There’s one post where I am in a club.. And I’m looking for some girl,
because I’m leaving and I have to ask for her number. So I walk around,
spot her on the dance floor, but I’m too afraid to go up to her,
because she had already spotted me. I actually thought that going right
up to her would come across as NEEDY and desperate! Haha. And that’s
what I learnt from DYD.. So it actually turned me into a bigger wuss on
some areas.
I think BG is right on with a lot of his observations. If you’re going to err by either sticking to advice too rigidly, or being too relaxed with the advice, err on the side of being too relaxed.
I have come to believe that too many guys try to hide their true intentions from women, and that’s where things get sticky. If you like a girl, don’t try to hide it. If you want to ask for her number, ask for it. Don’t try to be too manipulative. If you do it all with a cool, laid back attitude, it’ll work.

I am not “blaming” anyone for anything dude, I am just sure how my discussion on mASF is relevant, except for some KJ to try to slam David D, as if my personal problems were in any way relevant to the value of David’s materials. In fact, if you actually read my postings, you’ll see that David’s materials have in fact helped me a great deal.

I think that’s a good policy. In fact, I had not even heard of mASF at the time of the Vegas seminars.
I think the fact that TC let’s KJ’s like you post negative innuendo about him and David D. AT ALL says a lot about TC’s character – and yours as well.

I never stated that he only took David D.’s advice. I don’t care if he listens to other people. This was all about not disclosing his affiliation with david D. When he took the seminar there might not have been one, but there clearly is NOW! And since his review was just written a few days ago, it should have been disclosed. That would have been the honest thing to do.

The Body Language seminar was only good because of Mystery and the other guest speakers. I’m a woman who downloaded the new Christian/Matthew/David book yesterday. I’m really not sure yet what I think of the book but I am 99.9 % sure it is the work of Mr DeAngelo. It’s really not the kind of book I would normally read because I’m not really thinking much yet about settling down. I bought it because I like DYD and the Attraction Book quite a bit and I think Mr DeAngelo is quite a genious there. Women say all the time that men just need to back off and take things really slow physically but men do not seem to hear it at all. Somehow DYD seems to be able to get that message across to men better than women are able to communicate it.
I’m quite disappointed that the new Catch/Keep book gives the age old advice of withholding sex. I really like sex and if I ever do want a guy long term then I’d hope he wouldn’t consider that a strike against me. There has to be some other way but I fear David/Matthew/Christian might be right. I’ve only read the book through once so far and there seems to be some other good advice in there so I will keep reading it until I understand it better. The only point I’m really unsure on is the withholding sex part which of course he says is critically important.
Anyhow if any of you are looking to sell your DeAngelo materials now that he seems to have gone over to the dark side I’d be interested in buying. I want to get the Body Language DVD, Sexual Communication DVD and the Tyler Durden interview.

Besides, the book recommends you CRY as a means to get past last minute resistance. I wonder how much field experience Ross had before he wrote this book… maybe 2 lays at most.

Dude, thanks for the compliments. If I have empathy, appreciation and a generally good attitude towards men much of the credit has to go to my dad (and mom). Dad stayed home with the kids when I was in grade school. As I grew up and started dealing with boys he always made sure I got a guy’s perspective. I am completely fed up with male bashing in our culture and hope this stupid trend ends very soon.
I just downloaded DYD about 4 weeks ago and googled and found DeAngelo mailbag on fastseduction.com, read Mike Pilinski’s story and some David Shade, lurked a bit on mASF and peeked at Cliff’s List archives. I think it’s awesome there is a community of men working on figuring this stuff out and sharing the info because you sure don’t get any help on it growing up. It’s pretty much a grassroots effort. I have to say that I don’t think any of you are losers. You may feel down and confused and deal with a lot of fear when you start out but you are definitely not losers. Picking women up and turning women on properly is a science, an art and a craft. We need more men like all of you.
Just to clarify, I definitely don’t think Mr. DeAngelo has actually gone to the dark side. I think he just gets a lot of long heartbreaking probably very tedious emails from women and wants to help out. There is a lot of very good advice in the Catch/Keep ebook. I’m just not sure about the withholding sex part. There must be something about it that I do not yet understand. Women love to be teased but men seem to find it so cruel and irritating that it’s hard for me as a woman to convince a man that I really enjoy it. Men seem to much prefer knowing sex is a sure thing (g-close is believe is your terminology). I think Mr. DeAngelo is saying that men prefer women use a lighter touch in teasing out a man’s feelings in much the same way women prefer men use a lighter touch physically. I’m just not real sure how the withholding sex part fits into it all.

Not at all. Being C/F for a majority of the time not only hindered my good results but bored women to tears and created somewhat of a bad reputation for – namely, that I was a cocky asshole (which is far from the truth).
It’s only one of thousands of possibilities. Personally, I don’t even use cocky/funny anymore – needless to say, my results have shot thru the roof since then.
I just listened last night to “Ask Me Anything” vol. 1 and heard Deangelo say that some guys latch onto things like cocky and funny and think ‘I have to do that! I can’t only be cocky and funny’… butyou don’t have to do it all of the time, in fact you can do without it all together.
I already spoke on the newsletter that said that it’s only 1 aspect of the whole thing. ‘Truth’ says that in a newsletter D.D. says to ‘never drop the cocky and funny’ so – if the two newsletters cancel each other out – then add the video I just saw, and now we end up w/ “you don’t have to always (or even ever) do cocky and funny at all… or just some angry male(s) that want(s) to vent on a blog.
Are people honestly going to keep the drama going on here? Why aren’t there over 100 posts on some topic that actually has content that instructs men on how to better their sex/romantic lives?

look ppl, David DeAngelo’s ebook was released a very very long time ago, and it have been updated with a Seminar. In the seminar he admits the mistakes he made in the ebook, but replaces them, or just twists them abit according to what information he has learned in the time between his ebook and his Seminars to correct it.
His advice is GREAT, and if anybody reads it and thinks, “ok, this is stupid, its not going to work” Then how about you get out and ‘actualy’ do it!
