Quick Note About Comments

Hi Guys,
I wanted to make just a quick "housekeeping" note about writing in comments. HTML is enabled in the comments of this site, so you can actually design your replies to read a little easier.
For instance, if you want to quote something that someone else has said, like this:
Bob is going to school.
You’d use the <blockquote> tab to bracket it. So you’d type this into your comments:
<blockquote>Bob is going to school.</blockquote>
And if you want to add some style to your posts, like boldface, italic, or underline, you’d use these tags:
<b>boldface</b>
<i>italic</i>
<u>underline</u>
If you want a combination of them, like this, here’s how you’d do it:
<b><i><u>like this</u></i></b>
Just remember that you have to close each tag in order. So if you have <b> first and <i> second, you need to have </i> first after the text you want to enhance, followed by </b>.
If you want to add a link to your comments, like this one, here’s how you’d do it:
<a href="http://www.thundercatseductionlair.com">this one</a>
Be sure to put the website you’re linking to in "quotes" and add the "http://" part.
If you want to add color to your text, like this right here, here’s how you can do it:
<font color="red">like this right here</font>
You can use the words "red," "blue," "green," "yellow," "orange," "purple," "brown," etc. Or you can use hexidecimal colors if you know what those are. Just remember if you use colored text, you might make it hard for people to read your comments.
And if you want to make a bulleted list of points, like this one:
- point #1
- point #2
- point #3
Here’s how you’d type it:
<ul><li>point #1</li>
<li>point #2</li>
<li>point #3</li></ul>
The <ul> tag starts the list, and the <li> tags mark when each point begins and ends.
You can also do a numbered list like this:
- point #1
- point #2
- point #3
Here’s how you’d type it:
<ol><li>point #1</li>
<li>point #2</li>
<li>point #3</li></ol>
So instead of beginning and ending the list with <ul>, you use the tag <ol>. Got it? =)
