Is Sargathon A Scam?

Yesterday I posted about an event in Canada to raise money to help a guy’s dying mother.  But I’ve been getting emails from a lot of people that this might not really be as "on the level" as it seems.  Here’s an email I got from someone today who wishes to remain anonymous, but seems to be a highly credibly source (I took out his credentials because he didn’t want to be identified):

Hi Thundercat,

I have been subscribed to your RSS feed and/or newsletter for as long as I can remember.  Snow is a crook.  This is a scam.  The last time my stomach flipped like it did this morning when I read "Snow’s mom is dying of cancer" was when some idiot told me to go watch "two girls and a cup".

Snow is a complete and total con artist.  He was indeed ejected from the lair and caused the great divide when he reneged on paying his referral fees after convincing the Lair to force new students to attend to stupid workshop.  I attended it in fact on a whim and left at the first break never to return.  He had literally photocopied competitors materials and was charging for presenting the information.  If you think Tyler is bad you are in for a very big shock when it comes to light that "my mom died and I spent the money on unforeseen expenses for the event (and going to bars every night)".

So is Sargathon a scam?  Is this Snow guy really using his dying mother as an excuse to bilk some people of money?  I certainly hope not!  That’s low.  Does anyone have any proof that this event is legit and the money will actually go to this guy’s mother?

Just wondering who that “source” is…

    Wishing to stay anonymous?

Why would anyone take you seriously then?

For all I know it could be the same person who either started the whole shit-show in the original Toronto Lair… and blamed it all on Snow.

I am not saying that Snow wasn’t guilty of using other people’s materials and teaching them to new guys, but fuck man, name ONE guru here that hasn’t done that already (short of Mystery, Style and a few others who came up with most of the shit that gets rinsed and repeated all over the place)!

For all I know (and I attended Snow’s workshop myself) the guy has been opening people’s eyes to so many other gurus out there (he never passed any of other information as his own – he’d always give credit where credit was due), that they probably made more money on products in the long run from the business he’s thrown their way than anyone else accusing him of shit like this.

And the peanuts that he was charging people for his workshops (less than $500 for a full 3-day workshop with 3 nights in field and feedback from one of the best PUAs in the city, if not the whole fucken country), these dumb complaints don’t even hold any grounds.

How is he any different from that Mehow dude who pretty much took Mystery Method, rehashed it and now passes it off as his own shit, and charges thousands to attend his workshops, hundreds for his products, etc?

And hundreds of others who are copying everyone and anyone and passing off all that stuff as their own “methods”… at least give a mention to the original source where it’s due, for fuck’s sakes.

As far as Sargeathon being a scam or not, I leave that up to everyone here to figure out – if you want, drop Snow an email and ask him to put you through to his mom or something, so call her up and ask her how she’s doing and inquire about the whole thing with her if you really believe this is a scam.

I’ve known Snow for a while, and not only is he the most skilled, knowledgeable and deadliest pick up artist (and I can’t even call him a PUA as he hates the meaning of that word alone) I’ve met so far, but sometimes he’s actually got a greater good in mind (like taking care of his mom)…

Just look at the number of people who volunteered (I repeat, volunteered) to help him out in times of need and speak at this event – there’s a dozen of us already, highly respected individuals in their fields… not to mention all his previous students, friends, etc who are all getting together to make this happen.

And here you’ll believe someone who wishes to remain anonymous “but seems to be a highly credibly source”… all righty then! All the power to ya…

I believe Barry mentioned this event in a roundabout way on his Monday show. Since he is from the TO area and this is the only event I think he was refering to. He didn’t want to say the guys name though because he was worried the guy might beat the crap out of him. Anyway, if you want to hear what he said, track it down.

Personaly, looked a bit “fishy” to me, but, never know.

  4. I’ve met Snow. I’ve hung out with him several times. And I sure as FUCK trust my read on people more than anonymous tipsters on the internet.

I understand there’s risk in everything, but I know the people organizing this, and I know myself, and there is no way in HELL this is a scam.

Honestly, it disappoints me to hear that people can take an event that is trying to do something positive and rip it down based on hearsay. I mean, fuck, with all the exorbitant prices this “community” has gotten away with for so long, without, as far as I know, giving ANYTHING back to charity, we should do everything in our power to support these kinds of efforts.

And if that means I am a naive optimist, fine. I’ll live with that. I’d rather be an optimist and be wrong than be a cynic and be right.

    Love,

    Sean

This Statement about Sargeathon is Unbelievable Filth !

This is regarding this hateful post on your blog. I will fax you (or anyone else) copies of the CT scan reports from the hospitals regarding her tumors (80% of the liver is cancer cells).

We have been in and out of hospitals for over three months and I now have her living with me so I can take care of her myself after the doctors gave up on her. She’s doing quite well with some alterative treatments and we are very hopeful.

My hands are shaking as I type this as I am so angry that anyone would dare suggest something like this !

I have taken alot of shit from certain people in Toronto who are trying slander me in order to further themselves commercially and I haven’t said a word publicly in my own defense as most of the people here in Toronto that count know the real story (from the lies that have been spead about me) but this is not just attacking me anymore.

This is attacking the wellbeing of my mother for *#%$sake !

Yes we are raising funds for my mothers expenses !
Yes she has late stage metastases liver cancer !
Yes all the money is spent on her (including all my money)
No she is not going to die from this not on my watch !
and I will take her anywhere in the world if I have to to make sure that doesn’t happen !

It’s quite amazing how low some people will sink to further their agenda !

This is just pure hate in its ugliest form !

    Snow

    Snow,

I’m sorry that people are slandering you and saying that you are using your mom to profit is a terrible accusation.

However could you respond to the allegation against you that you reneged on paying referral fees…that will help us assess your credibility.

    Thanks

I hate to point this out, but health care is free in Canada… and if you’re trying alternative treatments, this means they’re considered so dubious that the government of Canada is not willing to pay for them. Which raises questions about the advisability of using them in the first place.

I was just looking for some Toronto Lairs recently and I subsequently searched for Snow. I haven’t been part of the Toronto scene for a few years and I am seeing this article for the first time – I remember attending one of Snow’s classes a while ago and I can attest that he extended sincere generosity as a teacher and a person. Snow is a good man. I hope all is well.
